UCO Waterproof Match Case with Integrated Striker

The UCO Waterproof Match Case is a compact, floating match container designed to keep up to 40 matches dry and ready in wet or cold conditions. It fits UCO Stormproof Matches and other brands up to 2.75 inches (7 cm) long, and ships without matches so you can load your preferred type. Three replaceable strikers (one integrated on the exterior, two spares included) mean you can light up even after the first striker wears out.

Floats and Seals When It Matters Most

A waterproof seal keeps moisture out of the case whether it's stuffed in a wet pack pocket, dropped in a puddle, or left in a damp glove box. The case floats, so a fumble at the water's edge doesn't mean a lost fire-starting kit. For emergency preparedness, car camping, or any situation where a dry match is the difference between a warm camp and a cold one, that sealed interior is the point of the whole product.

Grip You Can Actually Use in the Cold

Molded vertical ribbing runs the length of the exterior, giving fingers something to hold onto when hands are wet, gloved, or numb. Opening a slick plastic cylinder in freezing rain is a frustrating experience the ribbed design is specifically built to avoid. The external striker is positioned so you can open the case and strike a match in one fluid motion without fumbling for a separate tool.

Replaceable Strikers Extend the Life of the Case

Strikers wear down with use, and a match case with a dead striker is useless. The UCO Match Case includes three strikers total: one already mounted on the case and two spares. The case stays functional long after the first striker is spent, and swapping in a fresh striker takes seconds when you have the spares on hand.

Specifications

Who This Is For and Isn't

The UCO Waterproof Match Case suits campers, overlanders, and emergency-preparedness packers who want a reliable, compact way to carry matches in wet or unpredictable conditions. It works equally well in a backpack, a vehicle glove box, or a go-bag.

The case does not include matches. Buyers need to source those separately. It only fits matches up to 2.75 inches (7 cm) long, so longer specialty matches will not fit.

Common Questions

Do matches come with the UCO Match Case?

No. The UCO Waterproof Match Case ships without matches. It is designed to hold matches up to 2.75 inches (7 cm) long, including UCO Stormproof Matches, with a capacity of up to 40 matches. Matches must be purchased separately.

Is the case actually waterproof, or just water-resistant?

The UCO Match Case is described as waterproof and will float if dropped in water, keeping the contents dry and protected. The sealed construction is intended to prevent moisture from reaching matches stored inside, even in damp or wet field conditions.

How many strikers are included, and can they be replaced?

The UCO Match Case includes three strikers total: one integrated on the exterior of the case and two spare replacements. The strikers are designed to be replaceable, so when the first wears out the spares can be swapped in to keep the case functional.

Will UCO Stormproof Matches fit in this case?

Yes. The UCO Match Case is specifically sized to fit UCO Stormproof Matches, as well as matches from other brands, provided they are no longer than 2.75 inches (7 cm). Matches longer than that measurement will not fit.
