Swiss Link British 58 Pattern Canteen Lid Unissued

The Swiss Link British 58 Pattern Canteen Lid is an unissued military surplus replacement lid made from durable, lightweight plastic, compatible with the British 58 Pattern water bottle and NBC GSR straw. Unissued means this is new old stock that was never fielded; pieces may show light storage marks from years in military inventory.

A Reliable Seal on a Proven Platform

The 58 Pattern canteen system has been a British military standard for decades, and a secure lid is what keeps that system functional in the field. This lid is made from durable, lightweight plastic engineered to seat firmly on the 58 Pattern bottle, preventing leaks whether the canteen is stowed in a pack, mounted to webbing, or bouncing through rough terrain. Keeping a spare lid on hand means the canteen stays mission-ready if the original is lost or damaged.

NBC GSR Straw Compatibility

This lid is specifically designed to accept the NBC GSR straw fitting used with British military canteens, allowing the bottle to be used with the straw-through-lid configuration that lets a soldier drink without fully exposing the canteen. That compatibility makes this lid a functional replacement that preserves the full capability of the 58 Pattern system, rather than a generic cap that would forfeit the straw function.
