Sea to Summit Aeros Premium Inflatable Travel Pillow

The Sea to Summit Aeros Premium Travel Pillow is an ultralight inflatable pillow designed for upright sleeping during travel and camp use. Its ergonomic wedge shape holds the head comfortably without forward tilt, an adjustable air bladder lets you dial in firmness, and the Mini XPRESS valve makes inflation and deflation fast. Packed weight is 71 g (2.5 oz) and the pillow compresses into a 10 × 6 × 6 cm (3.9 × 2.4 × 2.4 in) stuff sack.

Wedge Shape Built for Upright Rest

Most travel pillows lose their shape or let the head drift forward during a long flight, drive, or camp-chair rest. The Aeros Premium's wedge profile is contoured specifically for upright sleeping positions, keeping the head supported at a natural angle without the neck strain that comes from a flat or U-shaped pillow. For overlanders catching sleep in a vehicle or at a base camp, that means arriving rested rather than stiff.

Adjustable Firmness, Fast Setup

The integrated air bladder adjusts to personal preference. Add a few breaths for firmer support, or release air through the fine-tune button for a softer feel. The Mini XPRESS valve combines a one-way inflate port, a rapid dump deflate port, and a fine-tune adjustment into a single low-profile unit, so setup and pack-away take seconds rather than minutes. An adjustable snap collar keeps the pillow positioned correctly once inflated.

Ultralight and Built to Last

At 70 g (2.5 oz) and packing to roughly the size of a fist, the Aeros Premium adds negligible weight to a backpacking kit or travel bag. The cover is 100% recycled polyester: soft, stretchy, breathable, and quiet against skin. The TPU polyether laminate bladder resists hydrolysis, meaning it holds up to repeated inflation cycles and humid storage conditions without degrading. A stuff sack is included to keep the pillow clean and contained between uses.

Specifications

Who This Is For and Isn't

The Aeros Premium Travel Pillow suits travelers, backpackers, and overlanders who need a compact, adjustable pillow for upright sleeping (on planes, in vehicles, or in camp chairs) and want a packable option that adds minimal weight to a kit.

The wedge shape is optimised for upright sleeping positions; buyers seeking a pillow primarily for lying flat in a sleeping bag may prefer a different profile. No pump is included. Inflation is by mouth or with a compatible Sea to Summit Air Sprung Cell mat pump sack turned inside out. Standard machine washing is not recommended; hand washing or a front-loader on a gentle cycle is required.

Common Questions

Will the Aeros Premium Travel Pillow change firmness during a flight?

Once an aircraft reaches cruising altitude, cabin temperature and pressure remain constant, so the Aeros Premium Travel Pillow's firmness should not be affected by changes in altitude or cabin conditions during the flight.

Can the Aeros Premium Travel Pillow be machine washed?

Standard machine washing is not recommended for the Aeros Premium Travel Pillow because agitation can cause the internal bladder to twist. A front-loading machine on a gentle cycle is an option, but hand washing is the safer approach for long-term care.

Is there a way to inflate the Aeros Premium Travel Pillow without using your mouth?

The Sea to Summit Airstream Pump included with Air Sprung Cell sleeping mats can be turned inside out to expose a nozzle that fits the Aeros Premium Travel Pillow's Mini XPRESS valve, providing a hands-free inflation option without purchasing a separate pump.

How should the Aeros Premium Travel Pillow be stored between trips?

For long-term storage, open the valve and lay the Aeros Premium Travel Pillow flat so any internal moisture can dry out completely before the pillow is packed away, which helps preserve the bladder and fabric over time.
