The Rago Fabrication E-MSP (Exterior Modular Storage Panel) is a roof-rack-mounted exterior MOLLE panel built for 2010–2024 5th Gen Toyota 4Runner, designed to carry fuel and water containers, recovery tools, and trail gear on the outside of the vehicle. The panel mounts to the rear glass using two Ram Mount suction cups and bolts to Rago, Prinsu, or Sherpa-style roof racks. It is sold individually in Driver and Passenger configurations for each rack type.
Exterior Storage Without Sacrificing Interior Space
Moving fuel containers, water tanks, shovels, and recovery tools to the exterior of the 4Runner frees up the cargo area for gear that needs to stay dry or accessible. The E-MSP's full MOLLE webbing pattern (the same layout used on Rago's interior MSP panels) accepts Quick Fist mounts, straps, and compatible accessories without drilling into the vehicle. Built-in mounting points are sized specifically for RotoPax and FuelPax fluid reservoir systems, so a 1- or 2-gallon tank locks in without adapters.
Stays Put, Comes Off When You Need It To
Two Ram Mount suction cups secure the base of the panel to the rear glass, providing a stable two-point grip rather than the single-cup attachment common on competing exterior panels. Rago's PEM technology lets the panel detach and reinstall quickly, which is useful when swapping between accessory configurations or removing the panel for a trip that doesn't need the extra storage. Top slots along the panel accept shovels, axes, and flashlights without additional hardware.
Built to Stay Finished
Each E-MSP is fabricated from 1/8" PNO and finished in a powder-coated Textured Black that resists chipping and corrosion on the trail. All mounting hardware is included. The panel is manufactured by Rago Fabrication in Chandler, Arizona.

Who This Is For and Isn't
The E-MSP suits 2010–2024 5th Gen Toyota 4Runner owners running a Rago, Prinsu, or Sherpa-style roof rack who want to move fuel containers, water tanks, or trail tools to the exterior of the vehicle without drilling into body panels. The panel works with RotoPax and FuelPax 1- and 2-gallon fluid reservoir systems and accepts standard MOLLE accessories.
The E-MSP does not fit vehicles other than the 2010–2024 5th Gen Toyota 4Runner and is not compatible with the Sherpa Crestone rack. It does not accept 4-gallon RotoPax containers: only 1- and 2-gallon sizes fit the built-in mounting configuration. Driver and Passenger panels are sold individually; purchasing both sides requires two separate units.
Common Questions
Which roof racks is the E-MSP compatible with?
The Rago Fabrication E-MSP attaches to Rago, Prinsu, and Sherpa-style roof racks on the 2010–2024 5th Gen Toyota 4Runner. The Sherpa-compatible mount does not work with the Sherpa Crestone rack. The E-MSP is also noted as compatible with other similar-style racks on the market; select the variant matching your rack brand at checkout.
What size RotoPax or FuelPax containers fit the E-MSP?
The E-MSP's built-in mounting points are compatible with 1-gallon and 2-gallon RotoPax and FuelPax fluid reservoir systems. The 4-gallon RotoPax container is not compatible with this panel's mounting configuration and should not be used with it.
Does the E-MSP come with all the hardware needed to install it?
The Rago Fabrication E-MSP ships with all mounting hardware included, along with two Ram Mount suction cups that secure the base of the panel to the rear glass. No additional hardware purchases are required to mount the panel to a compatible roof rack.
How difficult is it to remove or reposition the E-MSP?
The E-MSP uses Rago's PEM technology, which allows the panel to be detached and reinstalled quickly for accessory swaps or when the panel is not needed. The two Ram Mount suction cups at the base of the glass are designed for repeated removal and replacement without degrading their holding strength.
Is the Driver panel the same as the Passenger panel?
Driver and Passenger E-MSP panels are separate products sold individually. Each panel mounts to one side of the 4Runner's rear glass. To equip both sides of the vehicle, two panels must be purchased: one Driver and one Passenger variant for the matching rack type.
