The ICON Vehicle Dynamics Stage 4 Suspension System is a bolt-on lift and performance upgrade for 2009–2013 Ford F-150 2WD trucks, raising ride height 1.75–2.63" over stock while increasing front and rear wheel travel and damping capability. The system ships in multiple boxes and is available in one configuration covering the full 2009–2013 F-150 2WD application.

Shipping: ICON parts ship direct from ICON Vehicle Dynamics, mostly by UPS Ground. Lead times vary by part and some items are built to order, so please allow extra time. We email tracking as soon as your order ships.

Front Coilovers Built for Sustained Performance

The front of the Stage 4 system uses ICON 2.5" VS CDCV coilovers with external remote reservoirs and ICON-engineered Eibach coil springs. The remote reservoir separates the oil and nitrogen charge from the main shock body, reducing heat buildup during repeated compression cycles of the kind that accumulates on washboard roads or extended off-pavement runs. The result is more consistent damping late in a trail or a long highway pull, not just at the start. Coilover height is adjustable across the full 1.75–2.63" lift range, so wheel and tire fitment can be dialed in without swapping springs.

External Compression Tuning, Front and Rear

ICON's CDC Valve (CDCV) is fitted to both the front coilovers and the rear 2.5 Aluminum Series Piggyback shocks. The valve provides 10 externally accessible compression settings from soft to firm, adjustable without tools or disassembly. A driver can run a softer tune for daily highway miles and firm up for loaded towing or technical terrain without pulling a shock. Vehicle-specific valving front and rear keeps the truck balanced rather than tuned for one axle at the expense of the other.

Billet Upper Control Arms with Delta Joint

The billet upper control arms included in this stage use ICON's patented Delta Joint in place of a conventional uniball. A standard uniball allows high articulation angles but leaves the bearing exposed to water, grit, and corrosion, which is a real-world liability on a daily-driven truck. The Delta Joint addresses this with a zinc-plated housing and a grease seal that keeps contaminants out of the bearing surfaces. The metal-on-metal, greasable construction extends service life and eliminates the noise that worn uniballs develop over time. The billet arms also help retain factory alignment spec range and increase caster over stock, which matters for steering feel and tire wear on a lifted truck.

Features

  • 2.5" VS CDCV Front Coilovers: external remote reservoirs with ICON-engineered Eibach coil springs, height adjustable 1.75–2.63" over stock
  • 2.5 Aluminum Series Piggyback Rear Shocks: vehicle-specific valving with CDCV, one-piece impact-extruded aluminum cylinders for corrosion resistance
  • Billet Upper Control Arms: ICON patented Delta Joint, zinc-plated housing, greasable, retains factory alignment spec range
  • 10-Setting External CDCV: front and rear compression damping adjustable without disassembly
  • Bolt-On Installation: no cutting or welding required; 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum CNC-machined components; CAD-plated coilover shock bodies with 7/8" shafts

Who This Is For and Isn't

This system suits 2009–2013 Ford F-150 2WD owners who want a significant lift with full front and rear damping upgrades, external compression tuning, and strengthened upper control arm geometry, whether the primary use is daily driving, overlanding, or mixed on- and off-road use. Aftermarket wheels with lower offset or less backspace than OEM are recommended to clear the wider coilovers; ICON Alloys 17x8.5" (5.00" backspace / 6mm offset), 18x9" (5.25" backspace / 6mm offset), and 20x9" (5.625" backspace / 16mm offset) are specifically noted as compatible.

This system does not fit 4WD F-150 variants or any F-150 model year outside 2009–2013. It is not compatible with all available OEM wheel and tire combinations; stock wheels with higher offset may not clear. Lift heights stated are for a stock-equipped vehicle; actual ride height will vary with payload, added accessories, and vehicle condition. Tires larger than 33x11.50" may require fender trimming or other modifications.

Common Questions

Does this system fit the 4WD version of the 2009–2013 F-150?

No. The ICON Stage 4 system with SKU K93013 is designed and validated for 2009–2013 Ford F-150 2WD only. A separate system is required for 4WD applications; installing this kit on a 4WD truck is outside the intended fitment.

Will my stock wheels clear the new coilovers?

Not necessarily. The Stage 4 system is not compatible with all available OEM wheel and tire combinations. Aftermarket wheels with lower offset and less backspace than stock are recommended. ICON Alloys in 17x8.5", 18x9", and 20x9" with the specific offsets listed in the fitment notes above are confirmed compatible.

What is the CDCV and how is it adjusted?

CDCV stands for Compression Damping Control Valve. On this Stage 4 system, the valve is fitted to both the front coilovers and the rear piggyback shocks and provides 10 externally accessible compression settings ranging from soft to firm. Adjustment is made from outside the shock body without disassembly or removal.

Is cutting or welding required to install this system?

No. The ICON Stage 4 system is a bolt-on suspension upgrade for 2009–2013 Ford F-150 2WD trucks. No cutting or welding is required for installation. An installation guide is available; professional installation is recommended for suspension systems of this complexity.

What is the Delta Joint and why does it matter?

The Delta Joint is ICON's patented upper control arm joint used in the billet UCAs included in this system. It combines the high articulation angle of a uniball with a sealed, greasable, zinc-plated housing that resists corrosion and contamination, addressing the main durability weakness of a conventional uniball on a daily-driven truck.
