The ICON Vehicle Dynamics Stage 2 3.0 Suspension System is a complete six-component lift kit for the 2022–2026 Toyota Tundra, delivering 2–3.25" of front lift over stock on most i-Force gasoline sub-models and supporting up to 35" tires. The system pairs 3.0 Series remote reservoir CDXS front coilovers with tubular upper control arms, a sway bar drop kit, tubular rear upper and lower links, and 3.0 Series remote reservoir CDXS rear shocks for balanced, independently tunable performance front to rear.

3.0 Series Shocks with CDXS Damping Control

The front coilovers and rear shocks in this system are both 3.0 Series units equipped with ICON's Compression Damping Dual Speed (CDXS) valving. CDXS independently controls high-speed and low-speed compression force, with 10 detented settings on each adjustment knob. Low-speed adjustment dials in body roll and handling response for predictable cornering; high-speed adjustment governs reaction to sharp impacts and sudden obstacles. A single-knob shock changes both simultaneously, while CDXS lets the driver tune each axis separately for more precise on- and off-road calibration. The 3.0 Series shocks carry 50% more piston surface area than 2.5 Series units in the normal ride zone and 100% more in the Bump Zone, the last 40% of travel where bottom-out resistance increases exponentially through multi-stage hydraulic action.

Corrected Geometry and Increased Travel

The included tubular upper control arms replace the OE arms with corrected front-end geometry, added caster, and improved suspension component clearance. The OE ball joint is replaced by the ICON Delta Joint PRO (U.S. Pat. 10,731,700), a serviceable and rebuildable joint that allows full bump and droop travel while eliminating bind. Vehicle-specific shock length yields up to 40% more front wheel travel over stock. At the rear, tubular steel upper and lower links made from 1-3/4 x .313 wall DOM tubing with a multi-stage black powder coat finish allow pinion angle adjustment and increased articulation through PTFE-lined FK rod ends. Rear shocks provide a 20% increase in wheel travel over stock. The sway bar drop brackets reduce bind in the OE sway bar links across the full suspension travel range.

Heat Dissipation and Long-Term Durability

Remote reservoirs on both the front coilovers and rear shocks increase internal oil volume and external surface area relative to 2.5 Series shocks, improving heat dissipation and reducing shock fade under sustained hard use. Rear link multi-durometer bushings allow noise-free operation and maximum angularity without periodic greasing. All shock absorbers in this system are fully rebuildable and re-tunable.

Who This Is For and Isn't

This system suits 2022–2026 Toyota Tundra owners running most i-Force gasoline or i-Force MAX hybrid sub-models who want 2–3.25" of front lift, independent compression damping control, and increased wheel travel for mixed on- and off-road use. OEM wheels and tires are compatible; the system also supports up to 35" aftermarket tires.

This system is not compatible with Tundra models equipped with Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) or Load-Leveling Rear Height Control Air Suspension. Vehicles with automatic leveling headlights require an additional bracket kit (ICON part 55153), sold separately. Four-wheel-drive models without the TRD Off-Road package require an ICON differential drop kit (part 55156) or Toyota TRD axles to avoid front axle damage; TRD Pro is exempt from this requirement. ADAS recalibration is required after installation. Tundra models equipped with a TRD aluminum skid plate require an additional spacer kit (ICON part 55164), sold separately. Lift heights stated are for a stock-weight vehicle; added accessories will alter the lift range.

Common Questions

What components are included in this Stage 2 system?

The ICON Stage 2 3.0 Suspension System for the 2022–2026 Toyota Tundra includes six assemblies: 3.0 Series remote reservoir CDXS front coilovers, tubular upper control arms with Delta Joint PRO, a sway bar drop kit, tubular rear lower links, tubular rear upper links, and 3.0 Series remote reservoir CDXS rear shocks.

How does CDXS differ from a standard single-knob compression adjustment?

CDXS valving on this system provides two independent adjustment knobs on each shock: one for high-speed compression and one for low-speed compression, each with 10 detented settings. A standard single-knob adjuster changes both simultaneously, while CDXS lets the driver tune handling response and impact aggressiveness separately for more precise on- and off-road calibration.

Is this system compatible with the Tundra TRD Pro?

The ICON Stage 2 3.0 system is compatible with the 2022–2026 Tundra TRD Pro, but the front lift height range on TRD Pro models is 0–1.25" over stock rather than the 2–3.25" range available on most other sub-models. The TRD Pro does not require the differential drop kit that other 4WD non-TRD Off-Road models need.

Does this system work with vehicles equipped with Adaptive Variable Suspension or air suspension?

The ICON Stage 2 3.0 Suspension System for the 2022–2026 Tundra is not compatible with Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) or Load-Leveling Rear Height Control Air Suspension. Tundra models with automatic leveling headlights (but not full air suspension) can use this system with the addition of ICON's bracket kit, part 55153, sold separately.

Are the shocks rebuildable, and can the system be retuned later?

All shock absorbers in the ICON Stage 2 3.0 Suspension System are fully rebuildable and re-tunable. The CDXS valving on both the front coilovers and rear shocks can be adjusted in the field with 10 detented settings per knob, and the rear links allow for pinion angle adjustment after installation.
