The front coilovers in this system are built to F-150 Tremor-specific lengths and tuned specifically for the Tremor's geometry, producing a 20% increase in front wheel travel over stock. The added travel allows the suspension to absorb larger obstacles (rocks, ruts, and washboard) without transferring that force into the cab, so the truck stays composed at speed on dirt roads and remains controllable on pavement. ICON states no change in towing capacity with this system installed.

Internal Reservoirs Up Front, Piggyback Reservoirs Out Back

The 2.5" front coilovers carry internal reservoirs that provide additional fluid volume and cooling surface area, reducing fade during sustained off-road use. The 2.5 Aluminum Series piggyback reservoir rear shocks use vehicle-specific valving to balance rear damping with the upgraded front, so the truck does not develop the nose-high, rear-soft imbalance common when only the front suspension is upgraded. Both front and rear shocks feature 7/8" hardened chromed steel shafts and corrosion-resistant CAD-plated bodies.

Delta Joint PRO Upper Control Arms: Rebuildable by Design

The tubular upper control arms replace the factory units and use ICON's patented Delta Joint PRO articulation joint. The Delta Joint PRO delivers 90 degrees of total articulation, a 14% improvement in range of motion over ICON's standard Delta Joint, while maintaining a metal-to-metal bearing interface using graphite-impregnated sintered metal races machined to tight tolerances. The chromoly ball and shaft are hardened to Rockwell C 55. The joint is fully rebuildable: individual components (ball, races, and seals) can be removed, inspected, and replaced without replacing the entire joint. The arms also increase caster over stock and help retain factory alignment spec range at the 2.5–3" lift height this system provides.

Aftermarket wheels with lower offset or less backspace than stock are recommended to clear the lifted geometry.

This system does not fit any F-150 trim other than the Tremor, and it is not compatible with aftermarket steering knuckles. OE steering knuckles must remain in place. Will ADAS features like lane-keep assist and automatic emergency braking still work after installation?

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) require professional recalibration after this suspension system is installed. Sensors and cameras that govern those features are sensitive to ride-height changes, so recalibration is a required post-install step, not optional.

Can aftermarket steering knuckles be used with this system?

No. The ICON Stage 2 Tubular system is only compatible with OE (factory) steering knuckles. Installing it alongside any aftermarket steering knuckle is explicitly outside the system's design parameters.

What wheel and tire sizes work at this lift height?

ICON recommends aftermarket wheels with lower offset or less backspace than stock: specifically 17x8.5" with 5" backspace / 6mm offset, 18x9" with 5.25" backspace / 6mm offset, or 20x9" with 5.625" backspace / 16mm offset. For tires, 34x12.50" is the recommended size; larger tires may fit but will require fender trimming or other modifications.
