The ICON Vehicle Dynamics Stage 5 Suspension System is a complete, bolt-on upgrade for 2021–2026 Ford F-150 2WD trucks, delivering 0–3 inches of adjustable lift height alongside electronically active compression damping control front and rear. The system ships as three matched components: a 2.5 Series front coilover kit with remote reservoirs and CDEV valves, a 2.5 Aluminum Series piggyback rear shock pair with CDEV valves, and the ICON Intelligent Control (IIC) install kit.

Shipping: ICON parts ship direct from ICON Vehicle Dynamics, mostly by UPS Ground. Lead times vary by part and some items are built to order, so please allow extra time. We email tracking as soon as your order ships.

Active Damping That Reads the Road

ICON Intelligent Control (IIC) uses onboard sensors to monitor G-forces and chassis movement, then makes near-instantaneous compression damping adjustments through the Compression Damping Electronic Valve (CDEV) at each individual shock. Once configured through the IIC app, the system operates without driver input. The truck adapts to terrain changes automatically, while manual override and tuning remain available wirelessly through the IIC app on an iOS device. The practical result is a truck that handles washboard, highway on-ramps, and loaded towing runs without requiring the driver to stop and adjust damping by hand.

Remote Reservoirs Built for Hard Use

The front 2.5 Series coilovers and rear 2.5 Aluminum Series piggyback shocks both carry remote or piggyback reservoirs that substantially increase shock oil volume and heat-dissipation surface area. Shock oil that overheats under sustained hard use (repeated high-speed whoops, long dirt-road runs) loses its ability to control wheel movement, a condition called damper fade. The larger oil volume in these reservoirs resists that fade and resists cavitation, keeping damping consistent from the first mile to the last. The rear cylinders are hard-anodized, one-piece impact-extruded aluminum for corrosion resistance.

Bolt-On Installation, Vehicle-Specific Tuning

No cutting or welding is required. Front coilover height is adjustable across the full 0–3 inch lift range, allowing fitment of larger wheel and tire combinations without body modification for tires up to 33 x 11.50 inches (larger tires may require fender trimming). Front and rear valving is tuned specifically for the 2021–2026 F-150 2WD platform, balancing performance across the full truck rather than optimizing one end at the expense of the other. All CNC-machined components use 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum or high-strength alloy, with FK rod end bearings and corrosion-resistant CAD-plated coilover shock bodies with 7/8-inch shafts.

Features

  • ICON Intelligent Control (IIC): active CDEV compression damping adjustment via onboard sensors and iOS app, functions autonomously once configured
  • 2.5 Series front coilovers with remote reservoirs: vehicle-specific valving, CDEV valves, 0–3 inch height adjustability, CAD-plated bodies with 7/8-inch shafts
  • 2.5 Aluminum Series rear piggyback shocks: hard-anodized one-piece impact-extruded aluminum cylinders, CDEV valves, vehicle-specific valving
  • FK rod end bearings: extended longevity and minimal deflection versus rubber bushings
  • 100% bolt-on system: no cutting or welding required for installation
  • OEM wheel and tire compatibility: stock wheels and tires fit; aftermarket tires up to 33 x 11.50 inches fit without fender modification

Who This Is For and Isn't

This system suits 2021–2026 Ford F-150 owners with rear-wheel drive trucks who want electronically active suspension with up to 3 inches of lift, improved off-road damping, and the ability to run tires up to 33 x 11.50 inches without cutting fenders. It is compatible with stock or original ICON Delta Joint upper control arms.

This system does not fit 4WD F-150 models. It will not work with factory-installed electronically controlled suspension. It is not compatible with ICON Delta Joint Pro UCAs. PowerBoost hybrid models are limited to 2.75 inches of lift; Power-Stroke diesel models are limited to 2.5 inches. ADAS recalibration is required after installation. The IIC app requires an iOS device.

Common Questions

Does this system fit a 4WD F-150?

The ICON Stage 5 system for the 2021–2026 F-150 is designed exclusively for rear-wheel drive (2WD) models. It does not fit four-wheel drive variants of the F-150.

Will this work with my truck's factory electronic suspension?

The Stage 5 system is not compatible with factory-installed electronically controlled suspension. Trucks equipped with that option require a different system.

What lift height can I expect on a PowerBoost or Power-Stroke diesel F-150?

PowerBoost hybrid F-150 models achieve a lift range of 0–2.75 inches over stock with this system. Power-Stroke diesel models achieve 0–2.5 inches over stock. Non-hybrid, non-diesel models support the full 0–3 inch range.

Do I need to recalibrate my truck's driver assistance systems after installing this?

Yes. Installation of the ICON Stage 5 system requires recalibration of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) after the install is complete. This applies to all compatible F-150 models.

What phone or device do I need to use ICON Intelligent Control?

The ICON Intelligent Control (IIC) app requires an iOS-operated device. Once the system is configured through the app, it operates autonomously without ongoing driver input.

Is cutting or welding required to install this system?

The ICON Stage 5 system is a 100% bolt-on system. No cutting or welding is required for installation on compatible 2021–2026 Ford F-150 2WD trucks.
