The ICON Vehicle Dynamics Stage 5 Billet suspension system is a complete front-and-rear upgrade for 2019–2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 trucks (2WD and 4WD), delivering up to 35% more front wheel travel than stock and 1.5–3.5 inches of front lift on most gasoline-powered submodels. The system ships as three matched assemblies: a 2.5 Series remote reservoir CDXS coilover kit up front, CNC-machined 6061 billet aluminum upper control arms with ICON's patented Delta Joint, and a 2.5 Series piggyback CDXS rear shock pair.

Shipping: ICON parts ship direct from ICON Vehicle Dynamics, mostly by UPS Ground. Lead times vary by part and some items are built to order, so please allow extra time. We email tracking as soon as your order ships.

More Travel, Better Control on Any Surface

The front 2.5 Series remote reservoir coilovers increase wheel travel significantly over the factory suspension, which means the tires stay in contact with the ground longer over broken terrain. More ground contact translates directly into steering confidence and reduced chassis pitch on washboard roads, rocky two-tracks, and highway on-ramps alike. The coilovers are height-adjustable across the full 1.5–3.5 inch lift range, so the stance can be dialed in to clear a specific tire size without committing to a fixed ride height.

CDXS Valving: Independent High- and Low-Speed Compression Tuning

Every shock in this system carries ICON's Compression Damping Dual Speed (CDXS) valving, which separates high-speed and low-speed compression control into two independent adjustment knobs, each with 10 detented settings. Low-speed compression governs body roll and weight transfer during cornering and braking; high-speed compression governs how the shock responds to sharp impacts like rocks and square-edged bumps. Being able to tune them independently means a driver can run a composed highway tune and then add high-speed stiffness for a desert run without touching the low-speed setting. The 7.5-inch aluminum reservoirs front and rear hold additional oil and nitrogen volume, which sustains consistent damping as shock temperature rises during extended off-road use.

Billet UCAs and the Delta Joint: Geometry and Longevity Together

The included CNC-machined 6061 billet aluminum upper control arms allow on-vehicle camber and caster adjustment, correcting the geometry changes that a lift introduces and preserving predictable handling. The arms use ICON's patented Delta Joint (U.S. Pat. 10,731,700) rather than a conventional uniball. A standard uniball allows high articulation angles but exposes metal-to-metal contact surfaces directly to water, mud, and grit. The Delta Joint adds a zinc-plated housing and a grease seal over the same metal-on-metal construction, blocking contamination while retaining the high articulation angles a uniball provides. The joint is greaseable, which extends service life and eliminates the noise that worn uniballs develop. FK Rod End bearings throughout the control arm assembly further reduce deflection under load.

Who This Is For and Isn't

This system suits 2019–2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 owners running gasoline or diesel engines (excluding 4-cylinder) who want a significant increase in front wheel travel, adjustable lift between 1.5 and 3.5 inches, and the ability to run larger tires on and off-road. It fits 2WD and 4WD trucks equipped with coil front springs, and it works with OEM wheels and tires as well as the recommended ICON Alloys aftermarket sizes.

This system does not fit the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 ZR2 or GMC Sierra 1500 AT4X, any Silverado or Sierra equipped with a 4-cylinder engine, or any model with non-coil front springs (such as air or magnetic ride suspension). Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500 models with Adaptive Ride Control require additional ICON parts (71021 and 71022), which are not included in this kit. Trimming of the upper control arm stop is required or down travel will be limited by the upper arm stop. ADAS recalibration is required after installation. Minor fender trimming may be required to run the recommended aftermarket tire sizes.

Common Questions

Does this system fit my Trail Boss or AT4?

The Stage 5 Billet system fits the Silverado 1500 Trail Boss and Sierra 1500 AT4, but the lift range is reduced on those submodels. Gasoline Trail Boss and AT4 trucks achieve 0–1.5 inches of front lift over stock rather than the 1.5–3.5 inches available on most other gasoline submodels. Diesel Trail Boss and AT4 trucks achieve 0–1 inch of front lift. The system does not fit the AT4X or ZR2.

What does the CDXS valving system actually adjust?

CDXS (Compression Damping Dual Speed) valving on the Stage 5 Billet system separates compression damping into two independently adjustable circuits: low-speed compression, which controls body roll and weight transfer, and high-speed compression, which controls response to sharp impacts. Each circuit has 10 detented positions, so changes are repeatable and do not require tools to set in the field.

What is the Delta Joint and why does it matter for daily driving?

The Delta Joint in the Stage 5 Billet upper control arms is ICON's patented (U.S. Pat. 10,731,700) high-angle ball joint. It provides the wide articulation range of a uniball while adding a zinc-plated housing and grease seal that block water and contamination from the bearing surfaces. The joint is greaseable, which extends service life and prevents the noise that develops in worn uniballs exposed to the elements on a daily-driven truck.

How much rear lift do the included rear shocks support?

The 2.5 Series piggyback CDXS rear shocks included in the Stage 5 Billet system are compatible with 0–2 inches of rear lift on most Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500 models. On Trail Boss and AT4 submodels, no additional rear lift is recommended with these shocks. If a level stance is desired on Trail Boss or AT4 trucks, replacing the OE rear blocks with 1-inch rear blocks (ICON part numbers 51001 and 52050, sold separately) is recommended.

My truck has Adaptive Ride Control. Is anything else required?

Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500 models equipped with Adaptive Ride Control require ICON part numbers 71021 and 71022 in addition to the Stage 5 Billet system. Those parts are not included in this kit and must be purchased separately. Confirm whether your specific submodel has Adaptive Ride Control before ordering.

What tire and wheel sizes can this system accommodate?

With the Stage 5 Billet system installed, OEM wheels and tires remain compatible. For aftermarket fitments, ICON recommends 17x8.5-inch wheels with 4.75-inch backspace and 0mm offset, 18x9-inch wheels with 5.00-inch backspace and 0mm offset, or 20x9-inch wheels with 5.00-inch backspace and 0mm offset. On the Silverado 1500, tires up to 35x12.50 inches are recommended; on the Sierra 1500, up to 34x12.00 inches. Minor fender trimming may be required for those tire sizes.

Are the shocks rebuildable?

All shock absorbers in the Stage 5 Billet system are fully rebuildable and revalvable, meaning they can be serviced and tuned rather than replaced when worn. The system also carries a lifetime guarantee covering breakage of ICON-fabricated components and defects in those components.
