The ICON Vehicle Dynamics Stage 4 Suspension System delivers a 2.5-inch front lift for 2008–2010 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty 4WD Diesel trucks (single rear wheel models only), combining dual-rate coil springs, 2.5 Aluminum Series piggyback reservoir shocks front and rear, an adjustable track bar, a dual steering stabilizer kit, and rear leaf spring expansion packs into one fully bolt-on package. The F-250 gains approximately 0.5 inches of rear lift over stock; the F-350 sits approximately 0.5 inches lower at the rear than stock.

Piggyback Reservoir Shocks Front and Rear

The 2.5 Aluminum Series piggyback reservoir shocks separate the oil and nitrogen charge into an external reservoir, which extends consistent damping performance during sustained hard use and keeps operating temperatures lower than a standard monotube or twin-tube shock. Both the front pair (part 67700P) and the rear pair (37705P) are fully serviceable, so they can be rebuilt and revalved rather than replaced outright. This is a meaningful long-term cost consideration on a work or tow truck that sees regular heavy loads.

Tuned as a Complete Package

The dual-rate coil springs, application-specific alignment cams, and on-vehicle adjustable track bar are matched to the shock valving rather than sourced and assembled separately. The alignment cams restore proper caster after the lift without a separate alignment kit, and the adjustable track bar centers the front axle to minimize deflection and bump steer. ICON also recommends adding track bar bracket part 64039 to further correct bump steer geometry. That bracket is sold separately.

Rear Compliance Without Sacrificing Tow Capacity

The rear leaf spring expansion packs (part 168507, quantity two) work with the 1-inch cast block kit and 12-inch U-bolt kit to add compliance and reduce axle wrap without altering the factory tow rating. The 2-inch rear bump stop spacer kit maintains proper droop control at the new ride height. No driveshaft modifications are required, and the system installs without drilling, cutting, or welding.

Who This Is For and Isn't

This system suits 2008–2010 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks with 4WD, a diesel engine, and single rear wheels. It is designed for owners who want a 2.5-inch front lift with improved off-road compliance and retained tow capacity, and who are comfortable with a professional-level bolt-on suspension installation.

This system does not fit F-350 Cab and Chassis models, gas-engine Super Duty trucks, or dual rear wheel configurations. The springs are rated for diesel engines only. Not all factory OE wheel and tire combinations clear the lifted suspension; aftermarket wheels with lower offset are recommended (see application notes). The ICON track bar bump steer bracket (part 64039) is recommended but sold separately and not included in this kit.

Common Questions

Does this system fit both the F-250 and F-350?

The ICON Stage 4 system fits 2008–2010 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty 4WD Diesel trucks with single rear wheels. It does not fit F-350 Cab and Chassis models. Note that the rear lift result differs between the two: the F-250 gains approximately 0.5 inches at the rear over stock, while the F-350 sits approximately 0.5 inches lower at the rear than stock.

Will my factory wheels and tires clear the lifted suspension?

Not all OE wheel and tire combinations are compatible with this Stage 4 system. Aftermarket wheels with lower offset and less backspace are recommended: specifically 17x8.5-inch wheels with 5.00-inch backspace / 6mm offset, 18x9-inch with 5.25-inch backspace / 6mm offset, or 20x9-inch with 5.25-inch backspace / 6mm offset. Tires up to 35x12.50 inches are recommended; larger tires may require fender trimming.

Does installation require cutting, welding, or driveshaft modifications?

The ICON Stage 4 system is a 100% bolt-on installation. No drilling, cutting, welding, or driveshaft modifications are required. Application-specific alignment cams are included to restore proper caster after the lift.

Are the shocks rebuildable?

Yes. Both the front and rear 2.5 Aluminum Series piggyback reservoir shocks included in this system are fully serviceable, meaning they can be rebuilt and revalved rather than replaced when worn.

Does this system work with gas-engine Super Duty trucks?

No. The coil springs in this Stage 4 system are rated for diesel engines only. A separate ICON system is required for gas-engine 2008–2010 Ford F-250 or F-350 Super Duty applications.
