3.0 Series Front Coilovers with CDC Valve Tuning
The front coilovers in this system use ICON's 3.0 Series shocks, which provide 50% more piston surface area in the ride zone and 100% more in the Bump Zone compared to 2.5 Series shocks. The multi-stage hydraulic Bump Zone exponentially increases bottom-out resistance through the last 40% of shock travel, so hard hits and unexpected obstacles don't upset vehicle composure. The CDC (Compression Damping Control) Valve gives the driver 10 settings of compression adjustment without tools, making it practical to tune for an empty truck on a highway run or a loaded rig on a rocky trail. A remote reservoir aids heat dissipation, and ICON-engineered oil springs maintain consistent feel across the full range of travel.
RXT Rear Leaf Springs and 2.5 Series Rear Shocks
The ICON RXT multi-rate rear leaf packs ship with an add-in leaf that can be exchanged or added to the pack, giving three distinct spring rate configurations for unloaded daily driving or trucks carrying bed racks, rooftop tents, spare tires, or other significant weight. Galvanized leaf separators reduce friction and resist corrosion; military-wrap front eyelets increase durability at the mounting point; leaf spring tip inserts reduce noise. The paired 2.5 Aluminum Series CDC remote reservoir rear shocks use a side-mount eyelet that makes them shorter at full compression and longer at full extension than a conventional shock, fitting the factory mounting location while gaining usable travel. A 10-inch remote reservoir resists shock fade during sustained hard driving.
Billet Upper Control Arms with Delta Joint
The included billet aluminum upper control arms use ICON's patented Delta Joint, a high-angle ball joint that combines the articulation range of a uniball with the sealed, greaseable construction of a conventional ball joint. A zinc-plated housing and grease seal keep contaminants away from the joint's working surfaces, while metal-on-metal construction and a greaseable design extend service life. Used with the 3.0 Series front coilovers, the Billet UCA increases front droop travel beyond what the coilovers achieve alone.

Who This Is For and Isn't
This system suits 2007–2021 Toyota Tundra owners who want a significant, tunable suspension upgrade for daily driving with a loaded bed, overlanding on rough terrain, or both, and who want front and rear performance addressed in a single bolt-on kit. The three rear spring rate configurations make it practical for trucks that vary between unloaded and heavily outfitted.
This kit is not compatible with the TRD rear sway bar kit and must not be combined with any other aftermarket suspension kit. It does not fit the Sequoia (a separate coilover kit covers that application). Fender trimming is required to run the recommended 35" x 12.50" tire size; larger tires require additional modifications. A bump stop spacer kit (sold separately) is available if additional thread exposure beyond the maximum recommendation is needed.
Common Questions
Does this system fit the Toyota Sequoia?
The K53166 Stage 2 system is built for 2007–2021 Toyota Tundra trucks. The front coilover sub-assembly within this kit also lists 2008–2022 Sequoia coverage, but the complete Stage 2 system is fitment-listed for the Tundra only. Confirm Sequoia compatibility with a separate kit before purchasing.
Can this kit be combined with other aftermarket suspension components?
No. This Stage 2 system is a stand-alone kit and must not be used in conjunction with any other aftermarket suspension kit. It is also not compatible with the TRD rear sway bar kit. Installing it alongside other aftermarket suspension components voids the intended engineering of the system.
Will OEM wheels and tires still fit after installation?
OEM wheel and tire fitment is confirmed compatible with this system. Recommended aftermarket fitments are: 17x8.5" wheels with 5.75" backspace and 25mm offset, 18x9" with 6.00" backspace and 25mm offset, or 20x9" with 5.625" backspace and 16mm offset. Running the recommended 35" x 12.50" tire requires fender trimming.
How many compression damping settings do the shocks offer?
Both the front 3.0 Series coilovers and the rear 2.5 Aluminum Series shocks use ICON's CDC (Compression Damping Control) Valve, which provides 10 user-selectable compression settings. Adjustments can be made by the driver without removing the shock from the vehicle, allowing tuning for different terrain types and cargo loads.
Are the shocks rebuildable?
The front 3.0 Series coilovers and rear 2.5 Aluminum Series shocks included in this Stage 2 system are fully rebuildable and revalveable, extending long-term service life and allowing revalving if driving conditions or vehicle weight change significantly over time.
