ICON's engineering focus for this system is increasing wheel travel and damping ability rather than lift height alone. The 2.5-inch front coilovers feature internal reservoirs that dissipate heat during sustained off-road use, maintaining consistent damping when stock shocks would begin to fade. Vehicle-specific valving means the front and rear shocks are calibrated as a matched set, so the Tundra's handling balance is preserved whether the truck is loaded or running light on a trail.

Adjustable Height, Aircraft-Grade Construction

Coilover height is adjustable across the full 1–3-inch lift range without removing the shock from the vehicle, allowing fitment of larger wheel and tire combinations as needs change. Shock bodies are CAD-plated for corrosion resistance and machined from 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum with 7/8-inch shafts. FK rod end bearings are used at mounting points to extend service life and reduce deflection under load. The rear 2.5 Aluminum Series shocks use one-piece impact-extruded aluminum cylinders for consistent finish and corrosion resistance.

This system is not compatible with the rear TRD sway bar kit. Factory upper control arms will not align properly above 2.5 inches of lift, and an aftermarket UCA is required for lifts above that height. The recommended 35-inch tire size requires fender trimming. This system does not fit the 2008–2022 Toyota Sequoia on its own (the front coilover kit 58650 is shared, but Sequoia-specific rear fitment is not included in this system).

Do I need new upper control arms to run the full 3-inch lift?

Factory upper control arms will not align properly above 2.5 inches of lift on the 2007–2021 Tundra. For lifts between 2.5 and 3 inches, an aftermarket upper control arm is required. The Stage 3 system itself does not include upper control arms.

Is any cutting, welding, or drilling required to install this system?
