The ICON Vehicle Dynamics V.S. 2.5 Series Long Travel Remote Reservoir CDEV Front Coilover Kit is a sold-as-pair front suspension upgrade for 2005–2023 Toyota Tacoma and 2010–2024 Toyota 4Runner trucks and SUVs already equipped with aftermarket long-travel front suspension. The 2.5-inch shock body, remote reservoir, and electronically controlled compression damping valve (CDEV) work together to deliver adjustable, terrain-reactive damping on and off-road. Lift height adjustability is 0–3.5 inches on most covered models and 0–2.75 inches on 2016–2023 Tacomas.

In-Cabin Electronic Damping Adjustment via CDEV

The Compression Damping Electronic Valve (CDEV) is an infinitely variable electronically controlled valve that adjusts the flow of oil through the shock to change damping force. It reacts in under 40 milliseconds and is custom-tuned per application to maximize resolution and dynamic range for the Tacoma and 4Runner specifically. Powered by ICON Intelligent Control and the ICON mobile app, the system reads an onboard G-force sensor and gyroscope to predict terrain and adjust shock settings automatically, or the driver can adjust settings manually from inside the vehicle. An iOS-operated device is required to run the ICON Intelligent Control app.

This kit will not fit 2WD Tacomas with 5 wheel lug studs, and it will not fit stock-width control arms. Long-travel front suspension must already be installed before fitting this kit. The ICON Intelligent Control app requires an iOS-operated device; Android is not supported. Installation also requires the applicable IIC kit and CDEV-compatible rear shocks, which are sold separately. Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) require recalibration after installation.
