The ICON Vehicle Dynamics V.S. 2.5 Series front coilover pair with remote reservoir and Compression Damping Electronic Valve (CDEV) is a vehicle-specific suspension upgrade for 2021–2026 Ford F-150 2WD trucks, offering 0–3" of lift height adjustability over stock (0–2.75" on PowerBoost hybrid models; 0–2.5" on Power-Stroke diesel models). The pair ships as SKU 91818E and is sold as a front-only set; the matching CDEV rear shocks are a separate purchase.

Shipping: ICON parts ship direct from ICON Vehicle Dynamics, mostly by UPS Ground. Lead times vary by part and some items are built to order, so please allow extra time. We email tracking as soon as your order ships.

2.5" Shock Body with Remote Reservoir

The 2.5" diameter shock body provides greater piston surface area than stock components, which allows for more precise damping force and more wheel travel. The remote reservoir increases shock oil volume and heat-dissipation surface area, reducing the risk of overheating and cavitation during extended off-road use. The 7/8" diameter shaft and FK rod end bearings are designed to handle the lateral loads and repeated articulation that trail driving puts on front suspension, while the CAD-plated shock bodies resist corrosion over time. All components are fully rebuildable and re-tunable.

In-Cabin Electronic Damping Adjustment via CDEV

The CDEV is an electronically controlled valve that meters oil flow to regulate compression damping force. It reacts in under 40ms and is infinitely variable across its adjustment range, so damping can be changed for pavement, gravel, or rough trail without stopping. The CDEV's hydraulic circuits are tuned specifically for the F-150 2WD application to maximize resolution and dynamic range for that vehicle. The system is powered by ICON Intelligent Control, which uses an onboard G-force sensor and gyroscope to read terrain and adjust shock settings automatically based on user-defined parameters through the ICON mobile app. An iOS device is required to run the ICON Intelligent Control app. The IIC kit and CDEV-equipped rear shocks must also be purchased and installed separately for the system to function as a balanced front-to-rear setup.

Vehicle-Specific Tuning and Lift Adjustability

Shock length and valving are engineered specifically for the 2021–2026 F-150 2WD platform rather than adapted from a universal design, which allows the coilovers to use the full available wheel travel for that application. The 0–3" lift range accommodates factory wheels and tires as well as larger aftermarket combinations up to 33" x 11.50" without fender modification; larger tires may fit but will require fender trimming. The 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum CNC-machined components and high-strength alloy lower bar pins are designed to maintain alignment geometry and minimize deflection under load.

Features

  • 2.5" shock body with remote reservoir: increased piston area and oil volume for reduced fade under hard use
  • CDEV with sub-40ms response: electronically controlled compression damping adjustable from inside the vehicle
  • ICON Intelligent Control: G-force sensor and gyroscope feed terrain data to the ICON app for automatic damping adjustment
  • 0–3" lift adjustability: accommodates factory or larger wheel and tire combinations (lift range varies by engine; see application notes)
  • 6061 aluminum CNC components: CAD-plated shock bodies, 7/8" shafts, FK rod end bearings, high-strength alloy lower bar pins
  • Fully rebuildable and re-tunable: serviceable in the field or by a shop without replacing the entire unit

Who This Is For and Isn't

These coilovers are designed for owners of 2021–2026 Ford F-150 2WD (rear-wheel drive) trucks who want lift height adjustability, improved off-road damping performance, and in-cabin electronic damping control. They work with factory UCAs or original ICON Delta Joint UCAs and are compatible with factory wheels and tires as well as aftermarket combinations up to 33" x 11.50".

These coilovers do not fit 4WD or 4x4 F-150 configurations, and they will not work on any F-150 equipped with a factory-installed electronically controlled suspension system. They are not compatible with ICON Delta Joint Pro UCAs. The ICON Intelligent Control system requires a separately purchased IIC kit and CDEV rear shocks to function, and the app requires an iOS device. ADAS recalibration is required after installation. Larger tires beyond 33" x 11.50" may require fender trimming or other modifications.

Common Questions

Will these coilovers fit a 4WD or 4x4 F-150?

These ICON V.S. 2.5 Series front coilovers are designed exclusively for 2021–2026 Ford F-150 2WD (rear-wheel drive) models. They are not compatible with 4WD or 4x4 drivetrain configurations.

Do these work with my factory electronically controlled suspension?

No. These ICON V.S. 2.5 Series coilovers are not compatible with factory-installed electronically controlled suspension systems. Vehicles equipped with that system will require a different solution.

What else do I need to use the CDEV electronic damping system?

The CDEV front coilovers require a separately purchased ICON Intelligent Control (IIC) kit and ICON CDEV-equipped rear shocks to operate as a complete system. The ICON Intelligent Control app also requires an iOS device; Android is not supported.

What is the lift range, and does it vary by engine?

These ICON V.S. 2.5 Series coilovers provide 0–3" of lift over stock on standard F-150 2WD models. PowerBoost hybrid-equipped trucks have a lift range of 0–2.75", and Power-Stroke diesel-equipped trucks have a lift range of 0–2.5" over stock.

Are these coilovers compatible with ICON Delta Joint UCAs?

These coilovers are compatible with stock upper control arms and with original ICON Delta Joint UCAs. They are not compatible with ICON Delta Joint Pro UCAs. Confirm your UCA model before ordering.

Do I need to recalibrate any vehicle systems after installation?

Yes. Installation of these ICON V.S. 2.5 Series front coilovers requires recalibration of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) after the install is complete. This should be performed by a qualified shop with the appropriate calibration equipment.
