The ICON Vehicle Dynamics V.S. 2.5 Series Front Coilover Kit is a vehicle-specific, extended-travel front suspension upgrade for the 2019–2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500, delivering 1.5–3.5 inches of front lift height adjustability on most gasoline-powered submodels. Sold as a pair, the kit includes remote reservoir shocks with ICON's CDXS dual-speed compression adjustment and is engineered for 100% bolt-on installation (no drilling or welding required). Lift range varies by submodel and engine; see application notes below.

Remote Reservoir Cooling for Sustained Performance
The remote reservoir on each coilover increases fluid volume, which extends the duration of consistent damping before heat-related fade sets in. During extended off-road runs involving repeated hard compressions on washboard, rock crawls, or high-speed desert terrain, the reservoir keeps operating temperature lower than a conventional shock body alone could manage. The practical result is that damping behavior stays predictable throughout a run rather than softening as the shock heats up.
CDXS Dual-Speed Compression Tuning
ICON's Compression Damping Dual Speed (CDXS) valves give independent control over high-speed and low-speed compression force. High-speed compression governs how the shock responds to sharp, sudden inputs: square-edged rocks, potholes, and sudden drops. Low-speed compression governs body roll, dive under braking, and the slower chassis movements that define on-road composure. Each adjustment knob has 10 detented positions, so changes are repeatable and easy to track. Dialing in a firmer low-speed setting for highway driving and then softening it for trail use takes seconds without tools.
2.5-Inch Shock Body with 6061 Aluminum Components
The larger 2.5-inch shock body provides greater piston area than stock, which improves damping resolution across a wider range of inputs. Shock bodies are CAD-plated for corrosion resistance and carry 7/8-inch shafts. Structural components are CNC-machined from 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum. FK rod end bearings are used at mounting points to reduce deflection and extend service life. All shocks are fully serviceable.

Who This Is For and Isn't
This kit suits 2019–2026 Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500 owners running coil-spring front suspension who want a tunable, extended-travel front coilover with remote reservoir cooling and dual-speed compression adjustment, particularly those planning larger wheel and tire fitments or frequent off-road use where sustained damping performance matters.
This kit does not fit Silverado 1500 ZR2 or Sierra 1500 AT4X submodels, any Silverado or Sierra equipped with a 4-cylinder engine, or any model with non-coil-spring front suspension. Submodels with Adaptive Ride Control require additional parts (ICON part numbers 71021 and 71022) purchased separately. Aftermarket upper control arms are required; this kit is not compatible with OEM upper control arms. ADAS recalibration is required after installation. Lift heights stated are for a stock-height vehicle; Trail Boss and AT4 submodels have a reduced lift range. Common Questions
Do I need new upper control arms to install this kit?
Yes. The ICON V.S. 2.5 Series Front Coilover Kit for the 2019–2026 Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500 requires aftermarket upper control arms. It is not designed for use with OEM upper control arms, and installation without compatible aftermarket arms is outside the intended application.
What lift height will I actually get on my truck?
Lift range depends on submodel and engine. Most gasoline Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500 submodels achieve 1.5–3.5 inches of front lift over stock. Trail Boss and AT4 gasoline submodels achieve 0–1.5 inches. Most diesel submodels achieve 1–3 inches; Trail Boss and AT4 diesel submodels achieve 0–1 inch. All figures are for a stock-height vehicle before installation.
Does this kit work with Adaptive Ride Control (ARC) equipped trucks?
Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500 submodels equipped with Adaptive Ride Control can use this coilover kit, but they also require concurrent installation of ICON part numbers 71021 and 71022, which are sold separately. Installing this kit alone on an ARC-equipped truck is not a complete installation.
Will my ADAS features still work after installation?
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) require recalibration after installing the ICON V.S. 2.5 Series Front Coilover Kit. This is a required post-installation step and should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with the vehicle's ADAS calibration procedure.
What does CDXS adjustment actually change, and how do I set it?
ICON's CDXS valves independently control high-speed and low-speed compression damping on these coilovers. High-speed compression affects response to sharp, sudden impacts; low-speed compression affects body roll and dive. Each knob has 10 detented positions for repeatable adjustments. Turning the knobs does not require removing the shocks from the vehicle.
