The ICON V.S. 2.5 Series Front Coilover Kit is a full-length, extended-travel coilover pair engineered specifically for 2000–2006 Toyota Tundra trucks running an RCD 6" lift suspension system. The 2.5" shock body, internal reservoir, and vehicle-specific valving deliver improved damping over stock components on- and off-road. This kit ships as a pair and requires aftermarket front upper control arms for installation.
Shipping: ICON parts ship direct from ICON Vehicle Dynamics, mostly by UPS Ground. Lead times vary by part and some items are built to order, so please allow extra time. We email tracking as soon as your order ships.
Designed Around the RCD 6" System
These coilovers are built to work with the RCD 6" lift suspension system and eliminate the top mount spacer that OE coilovers require in lifted applications. That means a cleaner, more direct shock mount without the compliance and alignment variables a spacer introduces. This kit may also be compatible with 6" lift systems from other manufacturers, but that compatibility is not confirmed for every application.
Extended Travel with Lift-Height Adjustability
The extended-travel shock length maximizes front wheel travel beyond what stock-length replacements allow, giving the front suspension more room to work over rough terrain. Lift height is adjustable via the coilover collar, so ride height can be fine-tuned after installation without swapping components. The extended travel length requires aftermarket front upper control arms; OEM upper control arms are not compatible with this kit.
Serviceable Construction Built to Last
The shock body is finished with a corrosion-resistant CAD plating and uses a 7/8" shaft. The fully serviceable design supports revalves and rebuilds, extending service life well beyond a sealed unit. ICON's coil springs carry a lifetime guarantee against sagging or breakage. For Tundras with heavier equipment loads, a 700 lb/in Expedition coil is available separately (Application Note #47).
Features

Who This Is For and Isn't
This kit suits 2000–2006 Toyota Tundra owners who have already installed or are building around an RCD 6" lift suspension system and want a full-length coilover that improves damping, maximizes front wheel travel, and allows ride-height fine-tuning. It pairs well with ICON 2.0 Aluminum Series or 2.5 Series rear shocks for balanced front-to-rear vehicle control.
This kit does not fit Tundras on stock suspension or non-6" lift systems. It is not a bolt-in replacement for trucks retaining OEM upper control arms; aftermarket front upper control arms are required. Compatibility with 6" lift kits other than the RCD system is not confirmed for every application.
Common Questions
Are upper control arms included with this kit?
No. The extended-travel length of this coilover kit requires aftermarket front upper control arms, which are not included and must be purchased separately. Installing these coilovers while retaining OEM upper control arms is not supported (Application Note #18).
Can these shocks be rebuilt or revalved?
Yes. The ICON V.S. 2.5 Series coilovers use a fully serviceable design that supports revalves and rebuilds, which extends service life beyond what a sealed shock allows. The coil springs carry a lifetime guarantee against sagging or breakage.
Is there a spring option for a heavily loaded Tundra?
A 700 lb/in Expedition coil is available separately for 2000–2006 Tundras with heavier equipment loads, per Application Note #47.
Does this kit include a Proposition 65 warning?
Yes. This product contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth anomalies, or other reproductive harm. This warning applies to California residents under Proposition 65.
