The ICON Vehicle Dynamics V.S. 2.5 Series Front Coilover Conversion Kit replaces the factory coil spring arrangement on 2008–2016 Ford F-250 and F-350 4WD diesel trucks with a bolt-in coilover system that delivers 7–9 inches of front lift. The kit is designed for use with ICON fabricated shock hoops (part numbers 61950L and 61950R, sold separately) and is available as a single configuration for this application.

Shipping: ICON parts ship direct from ICON Vehicle Dynamics, mostly by UPS Ground. Lead times vary by part and some items are built to order, so please allow extra time. We email tracking as soon as your order ships.

Ride Height You Can Tune

Ride height adjustable coilovers let owners dial in front lift anywhere in the 7–9 inch range rather than accepting a fixed ride height. That adjustability matters when a truck carries different loads across seasons, runs different tire sizes, or needs fine-tuning after a long trail day reveals a handling imbalance. Vehicle-specific shock valving is engineered for this exact application, so the damping character reflects the weight and geometry of the Super Duty platform rather than a generic calibration.

Remote Reservoirs for Sustained Off-Road Performance

Remote reservoirs increase shock oil capacity and give that oil more surface area to shed heat during extended off-road use. Shock oil that overheats loses damping consistency, which is a real concern on long desert runs or rocky trails where the suspension cycles continuously. By keeping operating temperatures lower, the remote reservoir setup helps the coilovers deliver the same damping at mile 50 that they did at mile one.

Built to Last and Built to Upgrade

CAD-plated coilover shock bodies resist corrosion, and 7/8-inch shafts provide the strength margin a heavy-duty diesel platform demands. ICON-engineered dual-rate coil springs carry a lifetime guarantee against sagging or breakage. FK rod end bearings minimize deflection and hold up in demanding environments. The shocks are fully rebuildable and revalveable, so the investment extends well beyond the initial installation. The system is designed to accept a secondary shock as well, making this kit a foundation for a more capable build rather than a ceiling. Secondary shock options are available; contact ICON Vehicle Dynamics for compatible part numbers.

Features

  • Bolt-in fitment: designed for use with ICON fabricated shock hoops (61950L and 61950R)
  • 7–9 inch front lift: ride height adjustable coilovers, lift heights based on 4WD Crew Cab diesel configuration
  • Remote reservoir: increases oil capacity and dissipates heat for consistent damping during extended off-road use
  • CAD-plated shock bodies with 7/8-inch shafts: corrosion-resistant construction with heavy-duty shaft sizing
  • Dual-rate coil springs: ICON-engineered, guaranteed for life against sagging or breakage
  • Rebuildable and revalveable: shocks can be serviced and retuned; secondary shock addition is supported

Who This Is For and Isn't

This kit suits owners of 2008–2016 Ford F-250 or F-350 trucks in 4WD diesel configuration who are building toward 7–9 inches of front lift and already have, or plan to purchase, ICON fabricated shock hoops (61950L and 61950R). It fits trucks running factory wheels and tires and supports the recommended ICON Alloys wheel sizes listed above.

This kit does not fit 2WD models, gasoline-engine Super Duty trucks, or any Ford Super Duty outside the 2008–2016 model years. It cannot be installed without the ICON Coilover Conversion Hoops (61950L and 61950R), which are sold separately. It does not include a secondary shock; secondary shock options are available separately through ICON.

Common Questions

Do the ICON shock hoops come with this kit?

The ICON Coilover Conversion Hoops (part numbers 61950L and 61950R) are required for installation of this coilover conversion kit but are sold separately. The kit cannot be installed without them, so they should be purchased at the same time if not already on hand.

Will this kit fit a gasoline-engine F-250 or F-350?

No. The coil springs in this V.S. 2.5 Series coilover conversion kit are rated specifically for diesel engines. The kit does not fit gasoline-engine Super Duty trucks, and using it on a gas-engine application is outside the stated fitment.

What lift height can be expected after installation?

This coilover conversion kit provides 7–9 inches of front lift, with the stated lift heights based on a 4WD Crew Cab diesel configuration. Actual lift on other cab styles or load configurations may vary from that reference point.

Can the shocks be rebuilt or retuned after extended use?

Yes. The V.S. 2.5 Series coilover shocks in this kit are fully rebuildable and revalveable, which means they can be serviced and the damping character adjusted without replacing the entire unit. This extends the usable life of the system well beyond the initial installation.

Is a secondary shock supported with this system?

The coilover conversion kit is designed to allow the addition of a secondary shock, making it a foundation for a higher-performance Super Duty suspension build. Secondary shock options are available; contact ICON Vehicle Dynamics directly for compatible part numbers and details.
