The ICON Vehicle Dynamics V.S. 2.5 Series Coilover Conversion Kit replaces the factory front coil spring arrangement on 2008-2016 Ford F-250 and F-350 4WD diesel trucks with a bolt-in coilover system delivering 7-9 inches of front lift. The kit is designed for use with ICON fabricated shock hoops (part numbers 61950L and 61950R, sold separately) and includes remote reservoirs and ICON's Compression Damping Control Valves.

Shipping: ICON parts ship direct from ICON Vehicle Dynamics, mostly by UPS Ground. Lead times vary by part and some items are built to order, so please allow extra time. We email tracking as soon as your order ships.

Tunable Compression Damping on Demand

ICON's Compression Damping Control Valves give the driver 10 settings of external compression adjustment without tools. That range means the same truck can run a compliant street tune for daily driving and a firmer, more controlled setting for high-speed desert running or slow technical crawling. No pulling the shocks or returning to a shop is required to change between those settings. Vehicle-specific internal valving is engineered alongside the CDCV so both layers of tuning work together rather than fighting each other.

Remote Reservoirs for Sustained Off-Road Performance

Remote reservoirs increase shock oil capacity and move heat away from the shock body during extended off-road use. Sustained heat buildup causes fade, the gradual loss of consistent damping as oil thins, and the remote reservoir design addresses that directly. CAD-plated shock bodies and 7/8-inch shafts resist corrosion and flex under load, and the shocks are fully rebuildable and revalveable, so the investment extends well beyond a single build.

A Foundation for Future Upgrades

The coilover conversion is designed to accept a secondary shock, making it a starting point for a more capable high-performance Super Duty suspension system rather than a fixed endpoint. ICON-engineered dual-rate coil springs are guaranteed for life against sagging or breakage. FK rod end bearings reduce deflection and are built for durability in demanding environments.

Features

  • Bolt-in fitment: designed for ICON fabricated shock hoops (61950L and 61950R required, sold separately)
  • 7-9 inch front lift: ride height adjustable coilovers, lift heights based on 4WD Crew Cab diesel configuration
  • CDCV with 10 settings: external compression damping adjustment for street, crawl, and high-speed use
  • Remote reservoir: increases oil capacity and dissipates heat for consistent damping on extended runs
  • CAD-plated bodies and 7/8-inch shafts: corrosion-resistant construction, fully rebuildable and revalveable
  • Dual-rate coil springs: ICON lifetime guarantee against sagging or breakage; FK rod end bearings for durability and minimal deflection

Who This Is For and Isn't

This kit suits 2008-2016 Ford F-250 and F-350 owners running 4WD diesel configurations who want 7-9 inches of front lift with tunable, high-performance coilover damping for overlanding, off-road, or demanding tow-and-haul use. It is also a strong fit for builders planning to add a secondary shock in a future stage.

This kit does not fit 2WD models, gasoline-engine F-250/F-350 trucks, or any year outside 2008-2016. ICON fabricated shock hoops (part numbers 61950L and 61950R) are required for installation and are not included. Lift height figures are based on the 4WD Crew Cab diesel; actual lift on other cab configurations may differ.

Common Questions

Do the ICON fabricated shock hoops come with this kit?

The ICON V.S. 2.5 Series Coilover Conversion Kit does not include shock hoops. ICON fabricated hoops with part numbers 61950L (driver side) and 61950R (passenger side) are required for installation and must be purchased separately.

Will this kit fit a gas-engine F-250 or F-350?

No. The coil springs in this coilover conversion kit are rated specifically for diesel engine weight. The kit is not compatible with gasoline-engine F-250 or F-350 trucks.

Does this kit fit 2WD Super Duty trucks?

No. This coilover conversion kit fits 4WD models only. It is not compatible with 2WD F-250 or F-350 configurations.

What does the CDCV do and how many adjustment positions does it have?

The Compression Damping Control Valve controls fluid flow under compression and provides 10 settings of external adjustment. That range allows the driver to tune the front suspension for street driving, slow technical terrain, or high-speed off-road use without removing the shocks.

Can a secondary shock be added later?

Yes. The coilover conversion is designed to accept a secondary shock, making it a foundation for a more capable multi-shock Super Duty suspension system. Contact ICON Vehicle Dynamics directly for secondary shock options compatible with this kit.

What wheel and tire sizes work with this lift?

Factory wheels and tires are compatible. ICON recommends aftermarket wheels sized 17x8.5 inches with 5.00-inch backspace, 18x9 inches with 5.25-inch backspace, or 20x9 inches with 5.25-inch backspace. The recommended tire size is 37x12.50 inches; larger tires may fit but fender trimming and modifications will be required.
