The ICON V.S. 2.5 Series Extended Travel Front Coilover Kit is a vehicle-specific front suspension upgrade for the 2000–2006 Toyota Tundra and 2001–2007 Toyota Sequoia, delivering 0–2.5 inches of lift height adjustability through 2.5-inch-diameter internal-reservoir shocks paired with ICON-engineered 700 lb/in coil springs. The 700 lb/in spring rate is designed specifically for trucks carrying added front-end weight from aftermarket bumpers, winches, or similar accessories.

Shipping: ICON parts ship direct from ICON Vehicle Dynamics, mostly by UPS Ground. Lead times vary by part and some items are built to order, so please allow extra time. We email tracking as soon as your order ships.

Built for Heavier Front Ends

The 700 lb/in spring rate addresses a real-world problem on accessorized Tundras and Sequoias: stock or lighter-rate springs sag and lose travel when a heavy steel bumper or winch is added up front. By matching spring rate to the actual load, these coilovers maintain proper ride height and keep the suspension working through its intended range rather than riding on the bump stops. This rate is not recommended for stock-weight front ends. ICON's guidance reserves it for trucks with meaningful added front-end mass.

Extended Travel Requires Aftermarket Upper Control Arms

The extended shock length that gives this kit its additional wheel travel also changes the geometry envelope beyond what stock front upper control arms can accommodate. Aftermarket front upper control arms are required for installation; this is not an optional upgrade. Buyers running stock upper control arms should consider ICON's standard-travel version (part number 58620) instead. When the correct control arms are in place, the vehicle-specific shock length and valving work together to maximize front wheel travel on- and off-road.

Consistent Performance and Long Service Life

The 2.5-inch shock bodies are CAD-plated for corrosion resistance and carry internal reservoirs that help maintain consistent damping fluid temperature during extended off-road use. CNC-machined 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum components keep unsprung weight in check. FK rod end bearings reduce deflection and extend service intervals. The shocks are fully rebuildable and re-tunable, so the kit can be serviced and revalved rather than replaced when needs change.

Features

  • 0–2.5 inch lift adjustability: height set via coilover collar, accommodates larger wheel and tire combinations
  • 2.5-inch internal-reservoir shock bodies: increased piston surface area over stock; CAD-plated for corrosion resistance; 7/8-inch diameter shafts
  • 700 lb/in ICON-engineered coil springs: matched to front ends carrying aftermarket bumpers, winches, or similar added weight
  • 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum CNC components: FK rod end bearings for minimal deflection and extended longevity
  • Fully rebuildable and re-tunable: serviceable in the field; valving can be adjusted as build evolves
  • OEM wheel and tire fitment confirmed: compatible with stock wheels and tires at all lift settings within the adjustment range

Who This Is For and Isn't

This kit suits 2000–2006 Toyota Tundra and 2001–2007 Toyota Sequoia owners who are running or planning to run aftermarket front upper control arms, who have added meaningful front-end weight (steel bumpers, a winch, or similar accessories), and who want to recover proper ride height and maximize front wheel travel on mixed on- and off-road terrain.

This kit does not fit any vehicle outside the 2000–2006 Tundra and 2001–2007 Sequoia application. It cannot be installed with stock front upper control arms: the extended travel shock length requires aftermarket upper control arms. The 700 lb/in spring rate is not recommended for stock-weight front ends; this rate is intended only for trucks with added front-end mass. Buyers on stock control arms should consider ICON part number 58620 instead.

Common Questions

Do these coilovers work with stock front upper control arms?

No. The ICON V.S. 2.5 Series Extended Travel coilovers require aftermarket front upper control arms. The extended shock length exceeds the geometry range of stock upper control arms. Buyers who want to retain stock control arms should look at ICON's standard-travel version, part number 58620, instead.

Is the 700 lb/in spring rate right for a stock-weight Tundra or Sequoia?

The 700 lb/in spring rate is intended for trucks with added front-end weight: aftermarket steel bumpers, a winch, or comparable accessories. On a stock-weight front end, a lower spring rate is more appropriate. Check ICON's Help Center for spring rate selection guidance if the front-end load is uncertain.

What lift height range do these coilovers provide?

The ICON V.S. 2.5 Series Extended Travel coilovers offer 0 to 2.5 inches of lift height adjustment over stock ride height. The adjustment is made at the coilover collar. Lift heights indicated by ICON are based on a stock-equipped vehicle; actual ride height will vary with added accessories and load.

Will OEM wheels and tires still fit after installation?

Yes. ICON confirms OEM wheel and tire fitment is maintained across the adjustment range of these coilovers. For aftermarket wheels, ICON's own recommended fitments for this application are 17x8.5 with 4.75-inch backspace, 18x9 with 5.00-inch backspace, and 20x9 with 5.00-inch backspace. Tires up to 33x11.50 are noted as fitting; larger sizes may require fender trimming or modifications.

Can these shocks be rebuilt or revalved?

Yes. The ICON V.S. 2.5 Series coilovers are fully rebuildable and re-tunable. Shocks can be serviced and revalved as the vehicle build changes, rather than requiring full replacement. Refer to ICON's installation guide for service procedures.

Should these coilovers be paired with rear shocks?

ICON recommends pairing these front coilovers with ICON 2.0 or 2.5 Aluminum Series rear shock absorbers to balance vehicle control front to rear. Rear shocks are sold separately and are not included in this kit.
