The ICON V.S. 2.5 Series Remote Reservoir Coilover Conversion Kit is a bolt-in front suspension upgrade for 2005–2023 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty 4WD trucks, delivering user-adjustable ride height and significantly increased damping capability over the factory setup. Lift range at the front varies by model year, engine, and trim level; see the application notes below for the figure that applies to your specific truck.

Shipping: ICON parts ship direct from ICON Vehicle Dynamics, mostly by UPS Ground. Lead times vary by part and some items are built to order, so please allow extra time. We email tracking as soon as your order ships.

Ride Height You Control

Because the coilovers are threaded-body units, ride height is set by rotating the spring perch rather than swapping spacers or blocks. That means a buyer who wants 2.5 inches of lift today can dial in more later without purchasing new hardware. The adjustment range at the front spans 2.5–3 inches over stock on 2005–2019 diesel Super Dutys and on 2023 non-Tremor diesel models, and reaches 3.25–3.75 inches on 2020–2022 non-Tremor diesel trucks, so the kit can be tuned to the actual loaded ride height of a work or expedition rig rather than locked to a fixed lift number.

Compression Damping at Your Fingertips

ICON's CDC (Compression Damping Control) Valve lets the driver adjust compression damping characteristics with a single knob turn, no tools or disassembly required. That means the same truck can run a softer tune for highway miles and a firmer tune for loaded towing or rough trail work without returning to a shop. The 2.5-inch remote reservoir body keeps oil temperature lower under sustained off-road use, maintaining consistent damping when it matters most.

Built to Be Serviced, Not Replaced

The coilover shock body is CAD-plated for corrosion resistance and features a 7/8-inch shaft. FK Rod End bearings are used at the mounting points for extended service life and minimal deflection under load. The shocks are fully rebuildable and re-valveable, so a buyer can have the valving adjusted as tire size or payload changes rather than purchasing a new unit. Eibach coil springs are guaranteed for life against sagging or breakage. The kit also allows for the addition of a secondary shock; contact ICON for compatible options, and note that the ICON reservoir doubler kit (part number 611003) is required when pairing with ICON 2.5 Series remote reservoir secondary shocks.

Features

  • Bolt-in fitment: mounts in the OE coil bucket location; removal of the factory coil centering cup is required
  • CDCV adjustment: compression damping tunable by hand with no tools
  • Eibach coil springs: lifetime guarantee against sagging or breakage
  • FK Rod End bearings: extended longevity and minimal deflection at mounting points
  • Fully rebuildable shocks: can be re-valved as payload or tire size changes
  • Caster cams included: for alignment correction after lift (see fitment notes for hub compatibility)

Who This Is For and Isn't

This kit suits 2005–2023 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks in 4WD configuration whose owners want adjustable front lift, improved damping on and off road, and a shock they can rebuild or re-valve as the build evolves. It is compatible with factory wheels and tires and with the recommended aftermarket tire sizes listed above.

This kit does not fit 2WD Super Duty models. The included caster cams are not compatible with models that have a manual locking front hub on the driver side only; those configurations require aftermarket radius arms, a 4-link conversion, or an upgrade to a passenger-side manual locking hub before the cams can be used. Rear leveling hardware (blocks and U-bolts) is not included and is required separately on 2005–2016 models to bring the rear level with the lifted front. ADAS recalibration is required after installation on equipped vehicles. An adjustable track bar is recommended (not required) to realign the axle after lift.

Common Questions

Does this kit fit both gas and diesel F-250/F-350 Super Duty trucks?

The ICON 61720C coilover conversion kit fits 2005–2023 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty 4WD trucks with both gas and diesel engines. Lift height at the front varies by engine and model year: diesel and gas trucks of the same year may see different ranges, and Tremor-package trucks lift less than non-Tremor trucks of the same year. Confirm your specific combination against the lift-range table above before ordering.

What front lift height will this kit produce on my truck?

Front lift from this coilover conversion kit depends on model year, engine, and trim. Ranges run from 1.5–2 inches (2023 diesel Tremor) up to 3.25–3.75 inches (2020–2022 diesel non-Tremor). All figures are for a stock-equipped 4WD Crew Cab diesel as the baseline. The Specifications table above lists every published range; match your year, engine, and Tremor status to find the applicable figure.

Do I need to purchase any additional parts to complete the front installation?

The coilover conversion kit includes the coilovers, Eibach springs, FK Rod End bearings, and caster cams. Removal of the factory coil centering cup in the OE coil bucket is required. A brake line kit (ICON part 61111) is optional for 2017–2026 models. If adding ICON 2.5 Series remote reservoir secondary shocks, the reservoir doubler kit (part 611003) is also required. An adjustable track bar is recommended but not required.

Do I need to level the rear of the truck after installing this front kit?

On 2005–2016 F-250 models, rear blocks with a 15-inch U-bolt kit are required to bring the rear level with the lifted front; this hardware is not included in the coilover conversion kit. ICON block kit part 194275 and U-bolt kit part 37003 (2005–2010) or part 67003 (2011–2016) are the recommended companions. Owners of 2017–2023 models should verify their rear leveling needs separately.

Are the shocks rebuildable, and can the valving be changed later?

The V.S. 2.5 Series coilovers in this kit are fully rebuildable and re-valveable. The damping tune can be adjusted by a qualified shop as tire size, payload, or use case changes, without replacing the entire shock. The Eibach coil springs carry a lifetime guarantee against sagging or breakage.
