The ICON V.S. 2.5 Aluminum Series Rear Remote Reservoir Shock Absorbers (SKU 57840P, sold as a pair) are vehicle-specific rear shocks engineered for the 2022–2026 Toyota Tundra at 0–1.5 inch rear lift (non-TRD) or 0–1 inch lift (TRD with rear coil springs), and for the 2023–2026 Toyota Sequoia at 0–4 inch lift (non-TRD Off Road) or 0–2 inch lift (TRD Off Road and TRD Pro). Tundras equipped with OE Load-leveling Rear Height Control Air Suspension are compatible at 0–3.5 inch rear lift. These shocks are not compatible with Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) equipped vehicles.

Shipping: ICON parts ship direct from ICON Vehicle Dynamics, mostly by UPS Ground. Lead times vary by part and some items are built to order, so please allow extra time. We email tracking as soon as your order ships.

Internal Bump Zone Control

A 6061-billet aluminum manifold positioned a few inches below the top cap creates what ICON calls an internal Bump Zone. When the shock approaches full compression, this zone generates an additional 20 percent of damping force. For a Tundra or Sequoia running loaded or pushing through rough terrain at speed, that extra resistance is the difference between a controlled suspension stroke and a harsh bottom-out that unsettles the chassis and fatigues the driver.

Remote Reservoir Heat Management

The remote reservoir separates a volume of nitrogen-charged oil from the main shock body, giving heat generated during sustained off-road use more surface area to dissipate. Shock fade (the gradual loss of damping consistency as oil temperature climbs) is reduced, so the shocks perform closer to their cold-start tune after miles of washboard or repeated high-speed hits rather than softening progressively through a long trail day.

Rebuildable and Upgrade-Ready Construction

One-piece, hard-anodized, impact-extruded aluminum cylinders resist corrosion and hold tight dimensional tolerances over the life of the shock. A 7/8-inch induction-hardened, chrome-plated shaft and PTFE-lined spherical bearings handle side-load and articulation without binding. Every V.S. 2.5 Aluminum Series shock is fully rebuildable and re-tunable: a worn seal or a change in driving style does not mean replacing the unit, it means a rebuild or a revalve. Owners who want a more user-defined compression tune can upgrade these shocks with an ICON CDCV, CDXS, or CDEV compression adjuster (sold separately).

Features

  • Internal Bump Zone: 6061-billet aluminum manifold adds 20% damping force near full compression to resist harsh bottom-outs
  • Remote reservoir: nitrogen monotube design with piggyback reservoir reduces heat buildup and shock fade during prolonged use
  • Hard-anodized aluminum cylinders: one-piece, impact-extruded construction for corrosion resistance and consistent finish
  • 7/8-inch chrome-plated shaft: induction-hardened with PTFE-lined spherical bearings and application-specific mounting hardware
  • Vehicle-specific valving: length and damping tune configured for this Tundra and Sequoia application
  • Fully rebuildable and re-tunable: compatible with ICON CDCV, CDXS, or CDEV compression adjusters (sold separately)

Who This Is For and Isn't

These shocks suit 2022–2026 Toyota Tundra and 2023–2026 Toyota Sequoia owners running within the stated lift ranges who want improved off-road damping control and reduced shock fade on long trail days, without giving up street ride quality.

These shocks do not fit vehicles equipped with Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS). Tundra TRD owners with rear coil springs are limited to 0–1 inch of rear lift with this shock; Sequoia TRD Off Road and TRD Pro owners are limited to 0–2 inch rear lift. Compression adjusters (CDCV, CDXS, CDEV) are not included and are sold separately.

Common Questions

Which Tundra and Sequoia trim levels and lift heights does SKU 57840P fit?

These ICON V.S. 2.5 Aluminum rear shocks fit 2022–2026 Toyota Tundras at 0–1.5 inch rear lift (non-TRD) or 0–1 inch lift (TRD with rear coil springs), Tundras with OE Load-leveling Air Suspension at 0–3.5 inch lift, and 2023–2026 Sequoias at 0–4 inch lift (non-TRD Off Road) or 0–2 inch lift (TRD Off Road and TRD Pro). They are not compatible with AVS-equipped vehicles.

Are these shocks compatible with Adaptive Variable Suspension?

No. The ICON V.S. 2.5 Aluminum Series rear shocks (57840P) are not compatible with Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) equipped vehicles. Confirm your vehicle's suspension configuration before ordering.

Can these shocks be rebuilt or retuned after installation?

Yes. Every ICON V.S. 2.5 Aluminum Series shock is fully rebuildable and re-tunable, so worn seals or a change in driving preference can be addressed through a rebuild or revalve rather than full replacement.

Can I add a compression adjuster to these shocks later?

Yes. The ICON V.S. 2.5 Aluminum Series remote reservoir shocks are compatible with ICON's CDCV, CDXS, and CDEV compression adjusters, which are sold separately and allow a more user-defined damping tune.

What does the internal Bump Zone do, and why does it matter?

The internal Bump Zone in these ICON 2.5 Aluminum Series shocks uses a 6061-billet aluminum manifold to generate an additional 20 percent of damping force as the shock approaches full compression. This added resistance helps prevent harsh bottom-outs and keeps the suspension controlled during high-velocity compression events on rough terrain.
