The ICON V.S. 2.0 Aluminum Series rear shock is a vehicle-specific, nitrogen-charged monotube shock absorber engineered for 2020 and newer Jeep JT Gladiator builds running a 2.5-inch lift. Sold individually; two are required per vehicle. This shock is not compatible with the Jeep Gladiator Mojave trim.
Shipping: ICON parts ship direct from ICON Vehicle Dynamics, mostly by UPS Ground. Lead times vary by part and some items are built to order, so please allow extra time. We email tracking as soon as your order ships.
Aluminum Construction Built for Heat and Corrosion
The shock body is machined from 6063 anodized aluminum, which dissipates heat generated during sustained off-road use and resists corrosion from trail exposure and weather. Internal components (the rod end, top cap, and piston assembly) are 6061 aluminum, keeping unsprung weight low without sacrificing structural integrity. The 5/8-inch chrome-plated hardened steel shaft resists pitting and corrosion at the most vulnerable point of the shock's stroke.
Vehicle-Specific Valving for On- and Off-Road Balance
ICON engineers the valving on V.S. 2.0 shocks for the Gladiator's specific weight, geometry, and intended use rather than adapting a generic tune. The one-piece linear/digressive piston works with premium-grade 5WT shock oil to maintain consistent damping across a wide temperature range. The nitrogen-charged monotube design with internal reservoir prevents aeration that causes fade during repeated compression cycles.
Rebuildable and Revalveable
Every V.S. 2.0 Aluminum Series shock is 100% rebuildable and 100% revalveable. If the build gains weight, tire size increases, or use shifts from street to more demanding off-road, the shock can be serviced and retuned rather than replaced. Polyurethane bushings, zinc-plated sleeves, and forged steel mounting stems are designed for OE-style fitment, and a nitrile rubber top-out bumper prevents metal-to-metal contact and noise at full extension.

Who This Is For and Isn't
This shock suits 2020 and newer Jeep JT Gladiator owners running a 2.5-inch lift who want a vehicle-specific, rebuildable monotube shock for improved on- and off-road damping. It is appropriate for daily drivers and weekend off-road use.
This shock does not fit the Jeep Gladiator Mojave trim. Installation requires a sway bar relocation kit (ICON part 22062) or sway bar link kit (ICON part 22070), used in conjunction with a JT coil spacer (ICON part 22065) or JT coil spring (ICON part 22066); those components are sold separately. Two shocks are required per vehicle and must be purchased separately.
Common Questions
Does this shock fit the Jeep Gladiator Mojave?
No. The ICON V.S. 2.0 Aluminum Series rear shock for the 2020-up JT Gladiator is not compatible with the Mojave trim. Buyers with a Mojave-trim Gladiator should contact TerrainVault to identify a compatible option.
What additional parts are required for installation?
Installing this rear shock requires either a sway bar relocation kit (ICON part 22062) or a sway bar link kit (ICON part 22070), used together with either a JT coil spacer (ICON part 22065) or a JT coil spring (ICON part 22066). These components are sold separately and are not included with this shock.
How many shocks does one vehicle need?
This ICON V.S. 2.0 rear shock is sold individually. A complete rear installation on the Jeep JT Gladiator requires two shocks; each must be purchased separately.
Can this shock be rebuilt or revalved later?
Yes. The ICON V.S. 2.0 Aluminum Series shock is 100% rebuildable and 100% revalveable, meaning the internals can be serviced and the valving adjusted if the vehicle's build, weight, or use case changes over time.
Is there a California Proposition 65 warning for this product?
Yes. This product contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth anomalies, or other reproductive harm. This warning applies to California residents as required by Proposition 65.
