The ICON Vehicle Dynamics Stage 9 Suspension System is a full front-and-rear upgrade for 2024–2026 Toyota Tacoma trucks, delivering 1.25–3 inches of adjustable front lift and .5 inches of rear lift via a matched set of 2.5 Series CDXS remote reservoir coilovers, billet aluminum upper control arms with Delta Joint PRO, a front differential drop kit, billet rear lower links, 2.5 Aluminum Series CDXS remote reservoir rear shocks, and Overland dual-rate rear springs. This kit is configured for 4WD Tacomas; see application notes for 2WD fitment details.

Shipping: ICON parts ship direct from ICON Vehicle Dynamics, mostly by UPS Ground. Lead times vary by part and some items are built to order, so please allow extra time. We email tracking as soon as your order ships.

Damping You Can Tune on the Vehicle

The 2.5 Series front coilovers and rear shocks in this Stage 9 system are equipped with ICON's Compression Damping Dual Speed (CDXS) valving, which gives independent control over high-speed and low-speed compression force. Ten detented positions on each adjustment knob allow separate adjustments for handling response and overall aggressiveness, which matters when a truck splits time between highway miles and rough terrain where the demands on the suspension change significantly. Remote reservoirs increase shock oil volume and heat-dissipation surface area, resisting the damper fade that can develop under sustained hard use.

Corrected Geometry, Full Travel

The billet aluminum upper control arm kit corrects front-end geometry on the new Tacoma platform, adding on-vehicle camber and caster adjustability and improving suspension component clearance. The ICON Delta Joint PRO replaces the OE ball joint with a serviceable, rebuildable unit that allows full bump and droop travel while eliminating bind. The front differential drop brackets and coilover lengths are engineered together to maximize available front suspension travel and prevent CV bind on 4WD models. Polyurethane differential mounting bushings replace the soft OE units to limit differential movement under load.

Rear End Built for Loaded Rigs

The Overland dual-rate rear coil springs use a softer primary rate and a firmer overload rate to balance on-road comfort with load support and bottoming resistance. The springs are designed to net .5 inches of rear lift with approximately 600 lbs of additional weight in the rear, making them suited to outfitted overlanding trucks carrying gear, a bed rack, or a canopy. Billet rear lower links provide on-vehicle pinion angle adjustment via the ICON double adjuster, with dual-durometer greaseless bushings at one end and FK rod ends at the other for articulation with road-noise isolation.

Features

  • CDXS Remote Reservoir Coilovers: 2.5 Series front coilovers with independent high- and low-speed compression adjustment and 10 detented positions per knob
  • Billet Aluminum UCAs with Delta Joint PRO: Corrected front geometry, on-vehicle caster/camber adjustment, and a serviceable rebuildable ball joint with 90 degrees of total articulation (U.S. Pat. 10,731,700)
  • Front Differential Drop Kit: Maximizes front suspension travel and prevents CV bind on 4WD models; includes polyurethane differential mounting bushings
  • Overland Dual-Rate Rear Springs: .5-inch rear lift at approximately 600 lbs added weight; softer primary rate with firmer overload rate
  • Billet Rear Lower Links: On-vehicle pinion angle adjustment via ICON double adjuster; dual-durometer greaseless bushings and FK rod ends
  • 6061 Aircraft-Grade Aluminum Components: CNC machined; coilover shock bodies are corrosion-resistant CAD plated with 7/8-inch shafts

Application Notes

  • Not compatible with Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) equipped vehicles
  • Will not fit Tacoma submodels equipped with rear leaf springs
  • 4WD models require front differential drop part #55160 (included in this kit)
  • 2WD Tacoma installation does not require the front differential drop kit; other components retain full system functionality. 2WD-specific kits are forthcoming from ICON.
  • Advertised lift height ranges are for a vehicle with approximately 600 lbs of additional weight in the rear; adding or removing accessories will alter the lift range
  • An adjustable track bar is recommended (not required) to realign the axle after installation
  • Requires recalibration of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) after installation
  • Shocks are fully serviceable
  • OEM wheels and tires fit this system
  • Recommended aftermarket wheels: ICON Alloys 17x8.5 with 5.75-inch backspace / 25mm offset, or 18x9 with 6.00-inch backspace / 25mm offset
  • Recommended aftermarket tires: 33x11.50 inches (larger tires may fit but fender trimming and modifications will be required)

Who This Is For and Isn't

This Stage 9 system suits 2024–2026 Toyota Tacoma owners (4WD or 2WD) who want a complete, tunable front-and-rear suspension upgrade with corrected geometry, increased wheel travel, and the load capacity to support a fully outfitted overlanding build carrying approximately 600 lbs of additional rear weight.

This kit does not fit Tacoma submodels equipped with rear leaf springs or any Tacoma equipped with Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS). It is not a bolt-on for vehicles where ADAS recalibration cannot be performed after installation.

Common Questions

Does this Stage 9 kit fit both 4WD and 2WD Tacomas?

The ICON Stage 9 system is configured for 4WD 2024–2026 Toyota Tacomas. A 2WD Tacoma can use all other components in the kit with full system functionality, but the front differential drop kit (part #55160) is not needed for 2WD installation. ICON notes that 2WD-specific kits are forthcoming.

Will this system work on a Tacoma with Adaptive Variable Suspension?

No. The ICON Stage 9 Suspension System for the 2024–2026 Toyota Tacoma is not compatible with Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) equipped vehicles. Confirm your Tacoma's suspension configuration before ordering.

What rear lift height should I expect, and does it depend on how the truck is loaded?

The Overland rear coil springs in this Stage 9 system are designed to deliver approximately .5 inches of rear lift over stock with roughly 600 lbs of additional weight in the rear. Adding or removing accessories and gear from the truck will alter the actual lift height achieved.

Do I need an adjustable track bar with this system?

ICON recommends an adjustable track bar to realign the rear axle after installing the Stage 9 system on a 2024–2026 Toyota Tacoma, but it is not required for the suspension system itself to function. It is sold separately.

Are the shocks in this kit rebuildable and serviceable?

Yes. Both the 2.5 Series CDXS remote reservoir front coilovers and the 2.5 Aluminum Series CDXS remote reservoir rear shocks included in this Stage 9 system are fully serviceable. The Delta Joint PRO ball joint in the billet upper control arms is also serviceable and rebuildable.
