The ICON Vehicle Dynamics Stage 9 is a complete suspension system for the 2023-2026 Toyota Sequoia, delivering 3-4.5" of front lift over stock (on non-TRD-equipped models) through five matched component kits: VS 2.5 Series CDCV remote-reservoir front coilovers, a billet aluminum upper control arm kit with Delta Joint PRO, a sway bar drop kit, dual-rate rear coil springs, and 2.5 Aluminum Series CDCV remote-reservoir rear shocks. Lift range and rear height vary by trim level (see application notes in the specifications and fitment sections below).

Shipping: ICON parts ship direct from ICON Vehicle Dynamics, mostly by UPS Ground. Lead times vary by part and some items are built to order, so please allow extra time. We email tracking as soon as your order ships.

Ten-Setting Compression Damping, Front and Rear

Every shock absorber in the Stage 9 system carries an externally adjustable Compression Damping Control Valve (CDCV): both the front coilovers and the rear shocks. The CDCV restricts oil flow into the remote reservoir across 10 discrete settings, from soft to hard, so the suspension can be tuned for street comfort, slow-speed rock crawling, or high-speed desert running without removing a wheel. That range of adjustment in a single system means the Sequoia does not need to be retuned between different types of use.

Remote Reservoirs and Increased Travel

The VS 2.5 Series front coilovers use a 2.5" shock body with a larger piston area than stock, and remote reservoirs that increase oil volume and heat-dissipation surface area. ICON states this yields up to 40% more front suspension travel over stock and resists damper fade under hard use by keeping shock oil cooler and reducing cavitation. The 2.5 Aluminum Series rear shocks also run remote reservoirs and add an internal Bump Zone that generates an additional 20% of damping force at the end of travel to control hard bottom-outs.

Billet UCAs and Corrected Front Geometry

The included billet aluminum upper control arm kit replaces the OE upper control arms and ball joint with ICON's serviceable, rebuildable Delta Joint PRO, which provides 90 degrees of total articulation and allows full bump and droop travel without bind. The kit also corrects front-end geometry for improved camber and caster adjustment on the vehicle, and the included sway bar drop brackets reduce bind in the OE sway bar links through the full range of wheel travel.

Features

  • VS 2.5 Series CDCV front coilovers: remote reservoir, 2.5" body, 10-setting compression damping, adjustable 3-4.5" front lift over stock (non-TRD models)
  • Billet aluminum UCA kit with Delta Joint PRO: serviceable and rebuildable, 90° articulation, corrected camber/caster geometry
  • Sway bar drop kit: reduces OE sway bar link bind through full suspension travel
  • Dual-rate rear coil springs: softer ride-height rate with firmer overload rate; 2" rear lift on non-TRD models, 0" on TRD Off-Road-equipped models
  • 2.5 Aluminum Series CDCV rear shocks: remote reservoir, internal Bump Zone, 10-setting compression damping
  • All shocks fully rebuildable and re-tunable

Who This Is For and Isn't

The Stage 9 system suits 2023-2026 Toyota Sequoia owners on 4WD models who want a fully matched front and rear suspension upgrade with adjustable compression damping, increased wheel travel, and the ability to run up to 35" tires. It accommodates both non-TRD and TRD Off-Road / TRD Pro trims, with lift heights varying by trim as noted above.

This system is not compatible with Sequoia models equipped with Load-Leveling Rear Height Control Air Suspension or Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS). Installation requires recalibration of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). On 4WD models without the TRD Pro package, ICON recommends adding a differential drop kit or Toyota TRD axles to avoid front axle damage. Sequoias with the TRD aluminum skid plate also require part number 55164. Owners wanting taller rear ride heights on TRD Off-Road or TRD Pro models should consider kit K53239S instead. Advertised lift heights are for a stock-equipped vehicle; added accessories that increase vehicle weight will alter the lift range.

Common Questions

Does this system work on a Sequoia with the TRD Off-Road package?

The Stage 9 system is compatible with TRD Off-Road and TRD Pro Sequoias, but the lift range differs from non-TRD models. TRD Off-Road and TRD Pro trims will see 1-2.5" of front lift over stock and no rear lift height change. Owners of those trims who want additional rear lift should look at kit K53239S instead.

What suspension systems make this kit incompatible?

The Stage 9 system is not compatible with 2023-2026 Toyota Sequoia models equipped with Load-Leveling Rear Height Control Air Suspension or Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS). Buyers should confirm which suspension package their Sequoia carries before ordering.

Is a differential drop required after installing this kit?

On 4WD Sequoia models without the TRD Pro package, ICON recommends adding a differential drop kit (ICON part 55156) or Toyota TRD axles to prevent front axle damage. TRD Pro models do not require this step. The differential drop kit is not included in the Stage 9 system and is sold separately.

What is the largest tire this system supports?

The Stage 9 system is designed to accommodate up to 35" x 12.50" tires on the 2023-2026 Toyota Sequoia. ICON notes that minor fender trimming and modifications may be required to run that tire size without interference.

Are the shocks rebuildable, and can the damping be adjusted after installation?

All shock absorbers in the Stage 9 system are fully rebuildable and re-tunable. The externally adjustable CDCV on both the front coilovers and rear shocks provides 10 settings of compression damping adjustment, ranging from soft to hard, without removing the shocks from the vehicle.
