The ICON Vehicle Dynamics Stage 9 suspension system fits 2024–2026 Lexus GX550 (excluding Overtrail and AVS-equipped models) and delivers 1.25–3" of adjustable front lift and 2" of rear lift through a complete set of 2.5 Series CDXS remote reservoir coilovers, billet aluminum upper control arms with Delta Joint PRO, dual-rate rear coil springs, billet rear links, and a billet adjustable rear track bar.
Shipping: ICON parts ship direct from ICON Vehicle Dynamics, mostly by UPS Ground. Lead times vary by part and some items are built to order, so please allow extra time. We email tracking as soon as your order ships.
Remote Reservoirs and CDXS Valving
The 2.5 Series front coilovers and rear shocks each carry a remote reservoir that substantially increases shock oil volume and heat-dissipation surface area. Under sustained hard use (repeated water crossings, long washboard sections, or high-speed desert running), that added volume resists the overheating and cavitation that cause damper fade in smaller-bodied shocks. Every shock in the Stage 9 system is also equipped with ICON's Compression Damping Dual Speed (CDXS) valving, which controls fluid flow under compression through two independently adjustable circuits. Ten detented positions on each of the high-speed and low-speed knobs let a driver dial handling response and overall aggressiveness separately, without tools, at the trailhead or on the road.
Corrected Front Geometry and Maximum Travel
The billet aluminum upper control arms replace the OE units with components CNC-machined from 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum, adding on-vehicle camber and caster adjustability and improved clearance for larger wheel-and-tire combinations. The patented ICON Delta Joint PRO (U.S. Pat. 10,731,700) replaces the OE ball joint with a serviceable, rebuildable unit that provides 90 degrees of total articulation, allowing full bump and droop travel without bind. A front differential drop kit, combined with ICON-specific coilover lengths, maximizes available front suspension travel and protects CV joint operating angles. Polyurethane differential mounting bushings replace the soft OE units to limit differential movement under load.
Rear System: Level Stance and Articulation
Dual-rate rear coil springs provide a softer spring rate at ride height for on-road comfort, then transition to a firmer overload rate for bottoming resistance off-road, while adding 2" of rear lift for a level front-to-rear stance. The billet adjustable rear track bar re-centers the rear axle and uses double-adjuster rod end threads for on-vehicle length fine-tuning without removal. Billet rear upper and lower links use dual-durometer greaseless bushings at one end and FK rod ends at the other, combining free articulation with road-noise isolation. The 2.5 Aluminum Series CDXS remote reservoir rear shocks carry integrated bump zones and vehicle-specific valving tuned to balance the rear tune with the front coilovers.

Who This Is For and Isn't
The Stage 9 system suits 2024–2026 Lexus GX550 owners who want the highest-specification ICON suspension setup available for that platform, combining maximum front lift adjustability, CDXS-tuned remote reservoir shocks front and rear, corrected geometry, and a fully adjustable rear system for mixed on-road and off-road use with larger wheel and tire combinations.
This system does not fit GX550 Overtrail models or any GX550 equipped with Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS). Lift heights are calibrated for a stock-weight vehicle; adding accessories will alter the lift range. Tires larger than 34x11.50" may require fender trimming. Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) require professional recalibration after installation.
Common Questions
Does this system fit the GX550 Overtrail or AVS models?
The ICON Stage 9 system for the 2024–2026 Lexus GX550 is not compatible with GX550 Overtrail models or with any GX550 equipped with Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS). Buyers should confirm their trim level before ordering.
What lift height does this system provide?
The Stage 9 system provides 1.25–3" of adjustable front lift and 2" of rear lift over stock on a stock-equipped GX550. Adding accessories or cargo weight will alter the achieved lift range, as noted in ICON's application data.
What is CDXS and why does it matter?
CDXS (Compression Damping Dual Speed) is ICON's valving system that independently controls high-speed and low-speed compression force. Each adjustment knob has 10 detented positions, letting the driver tune handling response and overall aggressiveness separately without removing the shocks from the vehicle.
Will OEM wheels and tires still fit after installation?
OEM wheels and tires are confirmed to fit with the Stage 9 system installed. For aftermarket fitments, ICON recommends 17x8.5 wheels with 6.32" backspace and 40mm offset, or 18x9 wheels with 6.6" backspace and 40mm offset, with tires up to 34x11.50" without requiring fender trimming.
Does installation require any recalibration or additional work?
The Stage 9 system requires professional recalibration of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) after installation. The billet upper control arms allow on-vehicle camber and caster adjustment, and the billet rear track bar and links allow on-vehicle pinion angle and axle-centering adjustment without full disassembly.
