The ICON Vehicle Dynamics Stage 9 2.5 Suspension System is a complete front-and-rear suspension upgrade for the 2023-2026 Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro, engineered to retain the factory billet aluminum front upper control arms while delivering 1-2.5" of front lift and 2" of rear lift. The tubular rear lower link variant adds DOM-steel adjustable links with PTFE-lined FK rod ends for improved articulation and pinion angle adjustment. All components ship as a matched, vehicle-specific kit.

Shipping: ICON parts ship direct from ICON Vehicle Dynamics, mostly by UPS Ground. Lead times vary by part and some items are built to order, so please allow extra time. We email tracking as soon as your order ships.

Designed Around the TRD Pro's Factory Control Arms

Most aftermarket coilovers require swapping the front upper control arms to gain meaningful lift on the Sequoia TRD Pro. The Stage 9 system uses a vehicle-specific shock length and valving so the VS 2.5 Series CDEV coilovers work directly with the stock billet aluminum UCAs. That means the factory geometry is preserved, no additional control arm purchase is required, and the 1-2.5" of adjustable front lift is available without overstressing OE components. The larger 2.5" shock body and increased piston area over stock yield maximum wheel travel within that constraint.

Active Damping Through ICON Intelligent Control

The front coilovers and rear shocks in this system each carry a Compression Damping Electronic Valve (CDEV). The CDEV is an electronically controlled valve that meters oil flow to regulate damping force during compression. It reacts in under 40 milliseconds and is custom-tuned per application for the highest resolution and dynamic range the vehicle allows. ICON Intelligent Control (IIC) reads onboard G-force sensors and a gyroscope, applies user-defined settings and terrain-prediction algorithms, and adjusts each shock's CDEV independently in near real time. The IIC app provides wireless control and configuration; once set, the system operates without driver input. Note: an iOS device is required to run the IIC app.

Remote Reservoirs and Rear Coil Springs Built for Sustained Use

Remote reservoirs on both the front coilovers and rear shocks increase oil volume and heat-dissipation surface area, resisting the cavitation and damper fade that occur under repeated hard use. The rear 2.5 Aluminum Series shocks also incorporate an internal Bump Zone that adds 20% additional damping force at the end of travel to control hard bottom-outs. Dual-rate rear coil springs pair a softer ride-height rate with a firmer overload rate, providing on-road comfort alongside bottoming resistance. Sized for the TRD Pro's taller rear ride height, these springs deliver the 2" of rear lift that levels the stance front to rear.

Features

  • VS 2.5 Series CDEV front coilovers: vehicle-specific length for compatibility with stock Sequoia TRD Pro billet aluminum UCAs; 1-2.5" adjustable front lift
  • 2.5 Aluminum Series CDEV rear shocks: remote reservoirs with internal Bump Zone for 20% additional end-of-travel damping force
  • Dual-rate rear coil springs: 2" rear lift over stock on TRD Pro; softer ride-height rate with firmer overload rate
  • Tubular rear lower links: 1-3/4 x .313 wall DOM tubing, multi-stage black powder coat, PTFE-lined FK rod ends, multi-durometer bushings, adjustable length for pinion angle correction
  • ICON Intelligent Control (IIC): onboard G-force sensor and gyroscope drive near-instantaneous CDEV adjustments; iOS app required
  • Fully rebuildable: all ICON shock absorbers are rebuildable and re-tunable

Who This Is For and Isn't

The Stage 9 system suits 2023-2026 Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro owners who want 1-2.5" of front lift and 2" of rear lift with active electronic damping control, and who want to retain the factory billet aluminum front upper control arms. It is well matched to overlanding and off-road use where sustained hard driving creates heat and fade in stock dampers, and where terrain varies enough that adjustable compression damping adds real value.

This system does not fit any Sequoia trim other than the TRD Pro, and it is not compatible with non-TRD-Pro front upper control arms. It is designed for stock-equipped vehicles; adding significant accessory weight will alter the stated lift range. ADAS recalibration is required after installation. An iOS device is required to use the IIC app; Android is not supported. The ICON differential drop kit (part# 55156) is recommended for TRD Pro installations but is not included in this kit.

Common Questions

Will this system work with the factory front upper control arms on the Sequoia TRD Pro?

Yes. The Stage 9 system's VS 2.5 Series front coilovers use a vehicle-specific shock length engineered specifically for compatibility with the stock billet aluminum front upper control arms on the 2023-2026 Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro. No front upper control arm replacement is required.

Does the IIC system work automatically, or does it require constant driver input?

Once configured through the IIC iOS app, the ICON Intelligent Control system operates without driver input. It reads onboard G-force sensors and a gyroscope to predict terrain and adjust each shock's CDEV in under 40 milliseconds. The app is required for initial setup and adjustments; an iOS device is required.

What rear lift does this kit provide on a stock TRD Pro?

The dual-rate rear coil springs in the Stage 9 system are designed to deliver 2" of rear lift over stock on a stock-equipped 2023-2026 Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro. Adding accessories or cargo weight will alter the actual lift achieved, as noted in the application data.

Is a differential drop kit required, and is one included?

The ICON differential drop kit (part# 55156) is recommended for Sequoia TRD Pro installations but is not included in the Stage 9 kit. If the differential drop is installed, the ICON skid plate spacer kit (part# 55164) is also required. Both are sold separately.

Does installation require recalibrating the vehicle's driver assistance systems?

Yes. Recalibration of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) is required after installing the Stage 9 suspension system on the 2023-2026 Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro. This recalibration is not performed by the kit itself and should be completed by a qualified technician.
