The ICON Vehicle Dynamics Stage 7 Billet CDCV Suspension System is a complete four-component front and rear upgrade for 2005–2023 Toyota Tacoma 4WD, providing 0–3.5" of front lift on 2005–2015 models and 0–2.75" on 2016–2023 models. The system pairs 2.5" Extended Travel CDCV coilovers and billet aluminum upper control arms up front with an Add-A-Leaf kit and 2.5 Aluminum Series Omega Bypass shocks in the rear. Note that 2017–2023 TRD Pro models have a reduced front lift range of 0–1.25" over stock and 1" of rear lift over stock.

Shipping: ICON parts ship direct from ICON Vehicle Dynamics, mostly by UPS Ground. Lead times vary by part and some items are built to order, so please allow extra time. We email tracking as soon as your order ships.

Tunable Compression Damping, Front and Rear

The front 2.5" Extended Travel coilovers carry remote reservoirs equipped with ICON's CDC Valves: externally adjustable valves that restrict oil flow into the reservoir to create 10 distinct levels of compression damping force. That range lets a driver dial in a compliant street setting for daily commuting and switch to a firmer, more controlled calibration before heading off-road, without tools or disassembly. The 2.5 Aluminum Series Omega Bypass rear shocks add 28 settings of independent compression and rebound adjustment, giving the same degree of rear-end tunability across varying loads and terrain.

Corrected Geometry Through the Full Lift Range

The included billet aluminum upper control arms use ICON's patented Delta Joint, a high-angle, greaseable ball joint with a zinc-plated housing and grease seal that resists corrosion and contamination while allowing greater articulation than a conventional ball joint. The UCAs restore corrected front-end geometry at lift, add on-vehicle camber and caster adjustability, and improve suspension component clearance. Coilover height is adjustable across the full lift range, so wheel and tire sizing can be matched to the actual installed height rather than a fixed setting.

Rear Compliance Without Sacrificing Lift

The Add-A-Leaf kit installs in place of the factory overload leaves and lowers the rear spring rate by approximately 10%, producing a more compliant ride over rough surfaces. It also adds 1.5" of rear lift over stock. Combined with the Omega Bypass rear shocks' vehicle-specific valving and multiple damping zones, the rear of the Tacoma gains both ride quality and adjustable control that the factory setup does not provide.

Features

  • 2.5" Extended Travel CDCV Coilovers: remote reservoirs with 10-level CDC Valve compression damping adjustment and height adjustability across the full lift range
  • Billet Aluminum UCAs with Delta Joint: patented high-angle greaseable ball joint, zinc-plated housing, corrected caster/camber geometry at lift
  • 2.5 Aluminum Series Omega Bypass Rear Shocks: vehicle-specific valving, multiple damping zones, 28 settings of compression and rebound adjustment
  • Add-A-Leaf Rear Kit: replaces factory overload leaves, approximately 10% lower spring rate, 1.5" of rear lift over stock
  • 6061 Aircraft-Grade Aluminum Components: CNC machined, corrosion-resistant CAD-plated coilover shock bodies with 7/8" shafts

Who This Is For and Isn't

The Stage 7 Billet CDCV system suits 2005–2023 Toyota Tacoma 4WD owners who want a fully adjustable, high-performance front and rear suspension upgrade for daily road use, trail driving, or both. The tunable damping on both axles makes it well suited to drivers who vary their load, terrain, or driving style and want to adjust accordingly. ADAS recalibration is required after installation.

This system does not fit 2WD Tacoma models with 5 wheel lug studs. It requires aftermarket upper control arms and is not compatible with the factory UCAs. Recommended tire sizes up to 33×11.50" require fender trimming; larger tires may require additional modifications. A 700 lb/in Expedition coil spring is available separately for heavier-equipped vehicles but is not included.

Common Questions

Does this system fit both 2WD and 4WD Tacomas?

The ICON Stage 7 Billet CDCV system fits 2005–2023 Toyota Tacoma 4WD models only. It will not fit 2WD Tacoma configurations with 5 wheel lug studs.

What lift height does a 2016–2023 Tacoma get with this system?

On 2016–2023 Tacoma models, the front coilovers are height-adjustable from 0 to 2.75" of lift. On 2017–2023 TRD Pro models specifically, the front lift range is limited to 0–1.25" over stock and rear lift is 1" over stock, due to factory suspension differences on that trim.

What does the CDC Valve do and how is it adjusted?

The CDC (Compression Damping Control) Valve on the front coilovers is an externally adjustable valve that restricts oil flow into the remote reservoir, creating 10 distinct levels of compression damping force. Adjustment is made externally without removing the shock from the vehicle.

What components are included in the Stage 7 system?

The Stage 7 Billet CDCV system includes: one 2.5" Extended Travel CDCV coilover kit with remote reservoirs (front), one billet aluminum upper control arm kit with Delta Joint (front), one Add-A-Leaf kit (rear), and one pair of 2.5 Aluminum Series Omega Bypass rear shocks. No additional suspension components are included.

Is ADAS recalibration required after installing this system?

Yes. Installation of the Stage 7 Billet CDCV suspension system requires recalibration of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) after install. This applies to all Tacoma model years covered by this system that are equipped with ADAS.
