The ICON Stage 5 Suspension System with Tubular Upper Control Arms is a bolt-on lift and performance upgrade for 2015–2020 Ford F-150 4WD trucks, raising ride height 2–2.63 inches over stock (1.5–2.13 inches on Power-Stroke diesel models) through a matched set of vehicle-specific front coilovers, tubular upper control arms with ICON's patented Delta Joint, and 2.5 Aluminum Series piggyback rear shocks, all tuned specifically for the lighter chassis weight of the 13th-generation F-150.

Tuned Front-to-Rear Balance

The front 2.5-inch coilover shocks pair ICON-engineered Eibach coil springs with a remote reservoir and CDC (Compression Damping Control) Valve, giving the driver quick, tool-accessible compression adjustment without removing the shock. Vehicle-specific internal valving accounts for the F-150's weight distribution, so the front and rear damping characteristics work together rather than fighting each other. That coordination makes a meaningful difference on mixed-surface driving where a generic tune would leave one end of the truck feeling disconnected from the other.

Delta Joint Upper Control Arms

The tubular upper control arms replace the factory stamped-steel units and are built around ICON's patented Delta Joint, a high-angle ball joint with a zinc-plated housing, grease seal, and greaseable metal-on-metal construction. That combination addresses the two failure modes that split the industry: a standard uniball allows high articulation but is exposed to the elements; a conventional ball joint is sealed but limited in angularity. The Delta Joint is sealed against contamination and rated for greater angularity than a typical ball joint, which helps retain factory alignment spec range and increases caster over stock, reducing the alignment compromise that often accompanies a lift.

Rear Shock Construction and Corrosion Resistance

The 2.5 Aluminum Series piggyback rear shocks use one-piece impact-extruded aluminum cylinders for consistent finish and corrosion resistance across the life of the shock. The CDC Valve carries through to the rear as well, and the vehicle-specific valving is developed for the F-150's weight class. Front coilover bodies are CAD-plated with 7/8-inch shafts; lower bar pins are high-strength alloy CNC-machined with FK rod end bearings for minimal deflection. All shocks in this system are fully serviceable.

Features

  • Adjustable lift height: 2–2.63 inches over stock (1.5–2.13 inches on Power-Stroke diesel models)
  • CDC Valve front and rear: end-user compression adjustment without tools or shock removal
  • Patented Delta Joint UCAs: zinc-plated, greaseable, sealed against contamination, higher angularity than a standard ball joint
  • Bolt-on installation: no cutting or welding required
  • OEM wheel and tire compatible: fits stock wheels and tires; accommodates up to 33x11.50-inch aftermarket tires without fender modification
  • Fully serviceable shocks: front and rear shocks can be rebuilt

Who This Is For and Isn't

This system is built for 2015–2020 Ford F-150 4WD owners who want a bolt-on lift of 2–2.63 inches with a meaningful improvement in on- and off-road damping performance. The tubular UCAs and Delta Joint make it well-suited for drivers who use their truck daily and want corrosion-resistant, serviceable components that hold alignment over time. Rear shocks are compatible with 0–1 inch of rear lift on most models.

This system does not fit 2WD F-150 models, and it is not compatible with any aftermarket spindles. OE spindles are required. It is not designed for front lift heights below 1.75 inches or above 3 inches over stock. Tires larger than 33x11.50 inches may require fender trimming or other modifications not included in this kit. California residents: this product contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth anomalies, or other reproductive harm (Proposition 65).

Common Questions

Does this system fit 2WD F-150 trucks?

The ICON Stage 5 system for 2015–2020 Ford F-150 is compatible with 4-wheel drive (4WD) models only. It is not designed for 2WD variants of the F-150.

Can this kit be used with aftermarket spindles?

No. The ICON Stage 5 system for 2015–2020 F-150 4WD is only compatible with OE (factory) spindles. Installing it in combination with any aftermarket spindles is not supported.

What lift height does this system provide on a Power-Stroke diesel F-150?

On F-150 models equipped with the Power-Stroke diesel engine, the ICON Stage 5 coilovers provide a lift height range of 1.5–2.13 inches over stock, rather than the 2–2.63-inch range available on standard gasoline-engine models.

What is the CDC Valve and how does it work?

The CDC (Compression Damping Control) Valve is included on both the front coilovers and rear shocks in this Stage 5 system. It lets the driver adjust compression damping quickly, without removing the shock from the vehicle, making it straightforward to dial in ride feel between on-road and off-road use.

Does this kit require cutting or welding during installation?

The ICON Stage 5 system for 2015–2020 Ford F-150 4WD is a bolt-on system. No cutting or welding is required for installation. The system ships in multiple boxes.

What is the largest tire size that fits without fender modification?

With this Stage 5 system installed, 33x11.50-inch aftermarket tires fit without fender trimming or modification. Larger tires may fit but will require fender trimming or additional modifications that are not part of this kit.
