The ICON Vehicle Dynamics Stage 5 Billet suspension system is a complete front-and-rear upgrade for 2019–2021 Ford Rangers equipped with aluminum knuckles, delivering a 35% increase in front wheel travel over stock and 0–3.5 inches of adjustable front lift height. The system ships as four component kits: extended-travel 2.5 Series remote-reservoir coilovers, billet aluminum upper control arms with ICON's patented Delta Joint, 2.5 Aluminum Series piggyback-reservoir rear shocks, and a universal foam bump stop kit. It fits both 2WD and 4WD Ranger configurations.

Shipping: ICON parts ship direct from ICON Vehicle Dynamics, mostly by UPS Ground. Lead times vary by part and some items are built to order, so please allow extra time. We email tracking as soon as your order ships.

35% More Front Wheel Travel

The front coilovers in this system are extended-travel 2.5 Series units with remote reservoirs and CDC Valve (CDCV) technology. The remote reservoir provides additional fluid and gas volume for sustained heat dissipation during repeated compression cycles, keeping damping consistent on long off-road runs. CDCV technology lets the driver adjust compression damping without removing the shock, so the same truck can be tuned for a highway commute in the morning and a dirt road in the afternoon. The coilover body is CAD-plated for corrosion resistance and uses a 7/8-inch shaft.

Corrected Geometry Through the Full Range of Travel

The billet aluminum upper control arms are CNC-machined from 6061 aluminum and include on-vehicle camber and caster adjustment, which restores factory-intended geometry after a lift and allows fine-tuning for alignment. ICON's patented Delta Joint (U.S. Pat. 10,731,700) replaces the OE ball joint. The Delta Joint uses a zinc-plated housing and a grease seal to block moisture and debris, addresses the corrosion vulnerability of a conventional uniball, and still allows the high articulation angles needed for full bump and extended droop travel without bind. The design is greaseable and metal-on-metal for long service life.

Balanced Front-to-Rear Performance

The rear shocks are 2.5 Aluminum Series piggyback-reservoir units also equipped with CDC Valves and tuned specifically for the Ranger platform to complement the front coilover valving. The hard-anodized aluminum shock body resists corrosion, and the 7/8-inch shaft matches the front units. The included foam bump stop kit increases compliance at the end of rear suspension travel. All shocks in the system are fully rebuildable and revalvable. FK Rod End bearings are used throughout for extended longevity and minimal deflection.

Features

  • 0–3.5" adjustable front lift: height set via coilover collar, accommodates larger wheel and tire combinations
  • CDC Valve technology: tool-accessible compression damping adjustment on both front and rear shocks
  • Patented Delta Joint (U.S. Pat. 10,731,700): zinc-plated, grease-sealed, greaseable ball joint with uniball-level articulation
  • CNC billet 6061 aluminum UCAs: on-vehicle camber and caster adjustment, direct bolt-in design
  • Fully rebuildable shocks: 2.5 Series remote-reservoir fronts and 2.5 Aluminum Series piggyback rears
  • Foam bump stop kit included: increases rear-end compliance at full travel

Who This Is For and Isn't

This system suits 2019–2021 Ford Ranger owners, both 2WD and 4WD, who want a significant increase in off-road wheel travel and on-road ride quality, and whose truck is equipped with aluminum front knuckles. It is well matched to drivers who run 33-inch tires (up to approximately 33x11.25 inches with minor fender trimming) and want the ability to adjust compression damping and ride height without removing the shocks.

This system does not fit Rangers equipped with steel knuckles, and it is not compatible with the Ranger Raptor. Rangers equipped with the Tremor package are limited to a 0–2.5" front lift range rather than the full 0–3.5" range. Tires larger than 33x11.25 inches may require fender trimming and additional modifications beyond what this kit addresses.

Common Questions

Which Ford Ranger model years does this system fit?

The ICON Stage 5 Billet system fits 2019, 2020, and 2021 Ford Rangers equipped with aluminum front knuckles, in both 2WD and 4WD configurations. It does not fit Rangers with steel knuckles and is not compatible with the Ranger Raptor. Rangers with the Tremor package are compatible but are limited to a 0–2.5" front lift range.

How do I know if my Ranger has aluminum knuckles?

This system requires aluminum front knuckles, which are found on specific 2019–2021 Ranger trim and package configurations. If you are unsure which knuckle material your Ranger has, confirm with your dealer or a qualified suspension shop before ordering this kit.

What components are included in the Stage 5 Billet system?

The system includes four component kits: the 91355C extended-travel 2.5 Series remote-reservoir CDC Valve coilover kit for the front, the 98520DJ billet aluminum upper control arm and Delta Joint kit, the 97730CP 2.5 Aluminum Series piggyback-reservoir CDC Valve rear shock pair, and the 191205 universal foam bump stop kit. No additional shock or control arm purchases are required to complete the front and rear upgrade.

What tire size does this system accommodate?

The ICON Stage 5 Billet system is designed to accommodate up to approximately 33x11.25-inch tires. Minor fender trimming is required even at that size. Larger tires may fit but will require additional fender trimming and modifications not covered by this kit. Factory wheels and tires are also compatible with the system.

Can compression damping be adjusted without removing the shocks?

Yes. Both the front 2.5 Series coilovers and the rear 2.5 Aluminum Series shocks are equipped with ICON's CDC Valve (CDCV) technology, which allows compression damping adjustment without removing the shock from the vehicle. This makes it practical to tune the suspension for different driving conditions.
