The ICON Vehicle Dynamics Stage 4 Suspension System is a bolt-on, no-cut upgrade for 2015–2020 Ford F-150 4WD trucks, delivering 2–2.63 inches of front lift through vehicle-specific 2.5-inch remote-reservoir coilovers paired with tubular upper control arms and ICON 2.5 Aluminum Series piggyback rear shocks. The system ships as three matched components (front coilover kit, tubular UCA kit, and rear shock pair) tuned together for balanced front-to-rear damping on the lighter-weight F-150 platform.

Shipping: ICON parts ship direct from ICON Vehicle Dynamics, mostly by UPS Ground. Lead times vary by part and some items are built to order, so please allow extra time. We email tracking as soon as your order ships.

Engineered for the F-150's Weight and Geometry

ICON's engineers developed vehicle-specific valving for the 2015–2020 F-150 rather than adapting a generic tune. That matters because the F-150's aluminum-intensive body is meaningfully lighter than comparable trucks, and a shock valved for a heavier platform will feel harsh and unpredictable at the F-150's actual curb weight. The front 2.5-inch coilovers feature remote reservoirs that dissipate heat during sustained off-road use, keeping damping consistent when the terrain demands repeated compression cycles. The rear 2.5 Aluminum Series piggyback shocks use one-piece impact-extruded aluminum cylinders, which provide corrosion resistance and a consistent bore finish across the shock's service life.

Delta Joint Upper Control Arms: Durability Without the Uniball Trade-Off

The tubular upper control arms included in this Stage 4 system use ICON's patented Delta Joint, a high-angle ball joint designed to combine the articulation range of a uniball with the sealed, serviceable construction of a conventional ball joint. Standard uniballs allow low-bind articulation but expose metal-on-metal contact surfaces to water, grit, and road salt. The Delta Joint addresses this with a zinc-plated housing and a grease seal that keeps contaminants out of the joint's working surfaces. A greaseable design means the joint can be maintained rather than replaced at first sign of wear, which matters for a truck used daily as well as off-road. The tubular arms also help retain factory alignment spec range and increase caster over stock, a practical benefit for steering feel and tire wear on a truck that still sees highway miles.

Bolt-On Installation, No Cutting or Welding Required

The Stage 4 system installs without cutting or welding. Front coilover bodies are CAD-plated for corrosion resistance and use 7/8-inch shafts; lower bar pins are CNC-machined from high-strength alloy with FK rod end bearings for minimal deflection. The height-adjustable coilovers allow 2–2.63 inches of front lift on a stock-equipped vehicle, which accommodates OEM wheels and tires as well as recommended aftermarket fitments up to 33 x 11.50-inch tires (larger tires may require fender trimming). All shocks in the system are fully serviceable.

Who This Is For and Isn't

This Stage 4 system suits 2015–2020 Ford F-150 4WD owners who want a matched front-and-rear suspension upgrade with 2–2.63 inches of front lift, improved off-road damping, and a bolt-on installation that retains OEM spindles and does not require cutting or welding. It is compatible with OEM wheels and tires and with recommended aftermarket tire sizes up to 33 x 11.50 inches.

This system is not compatible with two-wheel-drive F-150 models, any aftermarket spindles, or F-150 variants outside the 2015–2020 model years. Power-Stroke diesel-equipped trucks will see a reduced front lift range of 1.5–2.13 inches rather than the standard 2–2.63 inches. The included rear shocks are designed for 0–1 inch of rear lift on most models and are not intended for greater rear lift heights. Tires larger than 33 x 11.50 inches may require fender trimming or other modifications.

Common Questions

Does this system fit two-wheel-drive F-150 trucks?

No. The ICON Stage 4 system for 2015–2020 Ford F-150 is compatible with four-wheel-drive (4WD) models only. Two-wheel-drive F-150 trucks require a different ICON application.

Can this system be installed with aftermarket spindles already on the truck?

No. The Stage 4 coilovers and upper control arms are only compatible with OEM (factory) spindles. Installing this system in combination with any aftermarket spindles is not supported and should not be attempted.

What lift height does this system provide on a Power-Stroke diesel F-150?

On F-150 models equipped with the Power-Stroke diesel engine, the front lift height range is 1.5–2.13 inches over stock rather than the standard 2–2.63 inches. The rear shock compatibility of 0–1 inch of rear lift applies to diesel models as well.

Will OEM wheels and tires still fit after installing this Stage 4 system?

Yes. The Stage 4 system is confirmed compatible with OEM F-150 wheels and tires. Recommended aftermarket tire sizes go up to 33 x 11.50 inches; tires larger than that may require fender trimming or other modifications to fit without rubbing.

Are the shocks in this system rebuildable?

Yes. All shocks included in the ICON Stage 4 system are fully serviceable, meaning they can be rebuilt and maintained rather than replaced as a unit when service is eventually needed.
