The ICON Vehicle Dynamics Stage 4 Suspension System for the 2010-and-up Lexus GX460 delivers 0–3.5 inches of adjustable lift through a bolt-on combination of extended-travel 2.5-inch internal-reservoir coilovers, billet Delta Joint upper control arms, 2.5 Aluminum Series remote-reservoir rear shocks, 2-inch lift rear coil springs, billet aluminum lower trailing arms, and an adjustable rear track bar, all tuned specifically for the GX460 platform. The system ships in multiple boxes and is compatible with KDSS-equipped vehicles.

Shipping: ICON parts ship direct from ICON Vehicle Dynamics, mostly by UPS Ground. Lead times vary by part and some items are built to order, so please allow extra time. We email tracking as soon as your order ships.

Extended Travel With On-Vehicle Adjustability

The 2.5-inch front coilovers use vehicle-specific internal valving and an extended-travel design to increase wheel travel beyond stock. Height is adjustable across the full 0–3.5-inch lift range without removing the shocks, so ride height can be dialed in after install. The billet 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum Delta Joint upper control arms adjust on the vehicle as well, letting the installer set front-end alignment without pulling the suspension apart. Adjustable coilovers paired with adjustable UCAs means the front geometry can be optimized for the actual lift height chosen rather than set once and left.

Rear System Built for GX460-Specific Geometry

The 2.5 Aluminum Series rear shocks carry 7/8-inch shafts and vehicle-specific valving, offering increased damping performance over the 2.0 Aluminum Series. Billet aluminum lower trailing arms replace the OE units with stronger construction, improved articulation, and on-vehicle pinion-angle adjustment (the adjustment is accessible while the arms remain installed). The included adjustable rear track bar corrects rear-end alignment and maintains KDSS compatibility; on KDSS-equipped vehicles, the front sway bar relocation brackets included in some ICON kits are not used.

Delta Joint: Durability and Angularity in One Assembly

ICON's patented Delta Joint (U.S. Pat. 10,731,700) is the pivot point of the billet upper control arms. Its zinc-plated housing and grease-sealed interior resist corrosion and contamination that would compromise a standard uniball in daily-driven conditions. Metal-on-metal construction with a greaseable design extends service life and eliminates the noise common to worn uniballs. The Delta Joint allows greater angularity than a conventional ball joint while matching the bind-free articulation of a uniball, making it suited to both pavement and off-road articulation demands.

Features

  • Bolt-on installation: no cutting or welding required
  • Adjustable lift height: 0–3.5 inches over stock via coilover collar adjustment
  • Patented Delta Joint UCAs: billet 6061 aluminum, greaseable, zinc-plated housing (U.S. Pat. 10,731,700)
  • 2.5 Aluminum Series rear shocks: remote reservoir, 7/8-inch shaft, vehicle-specific valving
  • Billet lower trailing arms: on-vehicle pinion-angle adjustment, improved articulation geometry
  • KDSS-compatible adjustable rear track bar: corrects rear alignment on KDSS and non-KDSS vehicles
  • Fully serviceable shocks: CAD-plated coilover body, FK rod end bearings

Who This Is For and Isn't

This system suits 2010-and-up Lexus GX460 owners who want up to 3.5 inches of adjustable lift with extended wheel travel, improved off-road geometry, and KDSS compatibility. It accommodates factory wheels and tires as well as aftermarket setups up to 33 x 11.50 inches without modification, whether the vehicle sees daily pavement use, trail driving, or both.

GX460 models equipped with factory rear air ride suspension require the separate ICON Rear Coil Conversion Kit (part #56110), which is not included. Remote reservoir mounting brackets may interfere with certain aftermarket bumper mounts and windshield washer bottles. Certain model years require trimming for front reservoir bracket fitment. Coilover ride-height specifications are referenced to a stock-equipped vehicle; a 700 lb coil spring option is available separately for heavier-equipped builds. This system does not fit any vehicle other than the 2010-and-up Lexus GX460.

Common Questions

Does this system work with the factory KDSS (Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System)?

The ICON Stage 4 system for the GX460 is compatible with KDSS. The included adjustable rear track bar is designed for KDSS compatibility and helps correct rear-end alignment. On KDSS-equipped vehicles, the front sway bar relocation brackets are not used. Certain model years may require trimming for the front reservoir bracket.

Do GX460 models with factory rear air ride suspension need anything extra?

Yes. GX460 models equipped with factory rear air ride suspension require the ICON Rear Coil Conversion Kit (part #56110), which is sold separately and is not included in the Stage 4 system. Confirm whether your specific GX460 has factory air ride before ordering.

What is the Delta Joint, and why does it matter for a daily-driven GX460?

The Delta Joint (U.S. Pat. 10,731,700) is ICON's patented high-angle ball joint used in the Stage 4 billet upper control arms. Its zinc-plated, grease-sealed construction resists corrosion and contamination that would compromise a standard uniball in daily-driven conditions. The greaseable design also allows periodic maintenance to extend service life.

What tire size fits without cutting, and what happens with larger tires?

The ICON Stage 4 system for the GX460 accommodates tires up to 33 x 11.50 inches without modification. Larger tires may fit but will require fender trimming and additional modifications. Factory wheels and tires are also compatible with this system.

Are the shocks serviceable, and can ride height be adjusted after installation?

The front coilovers and rear 2.5 Aluminum Series shocks in this Stage 4 system are fully serviceable. Coilover ride height is adjustable across the 0–3.5-inch lift range after installation. Coilover height specifications are referenced to a stock-equipped vehicle. A 700 lb front coil spring is available separately for heavier-equipped GX460 builds.
