The ICON Stage 4 Suspension System for 2014–2026 Ram 2500 4WD Diesel trucks delivers 4.5" of front lift and 2" of rear lift through a complete set of ICON-engineered components: dual-rate front coil springs, 2.5 Aluminum Series remote reservoir front shocks with CDC Valve technology, piggyback rear shocks, adjustable front and rear track bars, radius arm drop brackets, steering stabilizer, billet bump stop spacers, fabricated rear coil spacers, and all installation hardware. This system fits coil-spring rear 4WD Diesel models only; lift is 2.5" on the Ram 2500 Rebel submodel.

Shipping: ICON parts ship direct from ICON Vehicle Dynamics, mostly by UPS Ground. Lead times vary by part and some items are built to order, so please allow extra time. We email tracking as soon as your order ships.

Tunable Compression Damping Front and Rear

Both the front 2.5 Aluminum Series remote reservoir shocks and the rear 2.5 Aluminum Series piggyback shocks are equipped with ICON's CDC (Compression Damping Control) Valve, which provides 10 distinct compression damping settings adjustable with a single knob turn. That range lets the driver dial in a compliant highway ride on Monday and stiffen the suspension for a high-speed desert run on Saturday without swapping components or returning to a shop. Damping adjustability also means the system can be fine-tuned as tire size or payload changes over the life of the build.

Triple-Rate Rear Springs for Varying Loads

The rear performance coil springs use a triple-rate design: a lighter initial rate smooths out washboard roads and small whoops, a secondary rate maintains ride quality under normal loads, and an aggressive third overload rate resists bottom-outs and provides payload support, though at a reduced ride height when carrying heavy loads. This progression gives the 3/4-ton platform a more compliant everyday character without sacrificing the structural support that a loaded truck bed demands. Helper air bags are recommended when hauling or towing heavy loads regularly.

Corrected Geometry, Larger Tire Clearance

Precision CNC laser-cut radius arm drop brackets correct suspension geometry at the new ride height, and PTFE-lined spherical bearings in the adjustable front and rear track bars eliminate bushing deflection for more consistent handling. The system is validated to clear tires up to 37" x 12.50" on OEM wheels; ICON Alloys 17x8.5" (5.25" backspace / 13mm offset), 18x9" (5.50" backspace / 12mm offset), and 20x9" (5.50" backspace / 12mm offset) are the recommended aftermarket wheel fitments. Larger tires may fit but require fender trimming and modifications.

Features

  • 4.5" front lift / 2" rear lift: dual-rate front coil springs and triple-rate rear performance coil springs (2.5" front lift on Ram 2500 Rebel)
  • CDC Valve shocks front and rear: 10 compression damping settings on both the 2.5 VS remote reservoir front shocks and 2.5 VS piggyback rear shocks
  • Adjustable track bars: front and rear units with PTFE-lined spherical bearings realign axles and eliminate bushing deflection
  • Radius arm drop brackets: CNC laser-cut fabricated brackets correct suspension geometry at lift height
  • Steering stabilizer: 2.0 Aluminum Series unit manages steering damping for larger tire diameters
  • Complete hardware kit: billet bump stop spacers, fabricated rear coil spacers, and all mounting hardware included

Who This Is For and Isn't

This system suits 2014–2026 Ram 2500 4WD Diesel owners with coil-spring rear suspensions who want a significant lift, tunable on-road and off-road performance, and clearance for tires up to 37". It is developed for buyers who prioritize spirited off-road driving over frequent heavy towing or hauling.

This system does not fit gas-engine Ram 2500 models, 2WD trucks, or Ram 2500 trucks equipped with factory rear air ride. It is not designed for vehicles used primarily for heavy towing or hauling (helper air bags are recommended for those applications, and performance rear springs will cause reduced ride height under heavy load). 2019–2026 model-year trucks require an aftermarket high-angle front driveshaft (ICON part 212511 or 212512, sold separately) to prevent driveline bind; vehicles with two-piece driveshafts require carrier shim kit 214211 (sold separately). ADAS recalibration is required after installation.

Common Questions

Does this system fit gas-powered Ram 2500 trucks?

No. The ICON Stage 4 system with performance rear coil springs is rated for Diesel engines only. Gas-engine Ram 2500 owners should look for a system specifically rated for their powertrain, as spring rates are calibrated for the heavier Diesel engine weight.

What lift height does this system provide on the Ram 2500 Rebel?

On the Ram 2500 Rebel submodel, this Stage 4 system provides 2.5" of front lift rather than the 4.5" delivered on most other Ram 2500 submodels. Rear lift is 2" across all compatible submodels. Confirm your submodel before ordering.

Is a driveshaft upgrade required for 2019–2026 Ram 2500 trucks?

Yes. 2019–2026 Ram 2500 and 3500 models require an aftermarket high-angle front driveshaft to prevent driveline bind after this lift is installed. ICON part numbers 212511 and 212512 are the recommended options and are sold separately. Trucks with two-piece driveshafts also require carrier shim kit 214211, sold separately.

Can the compression damping be adjusted without removing the shocks?

Yes. Both the front remote reservoir shocks and the rear piggyback shocks on this Stage 4 system are equipped with ICON's CDC (Compression Damping Control) Valve, which provides 10 settings of compression adjustment via a knob turn. No disassembly is required to change the damping setting.

Will this system work with the factory rear air ride suspension?

No. This Stage 4 system is not compatible with Ram 2500 trucks equipped with factory rear air ride. It is designed for coil-spring rear suspension models only.
