The ICON Vehicle Dynamics Stage 3 3.0 CDXS Billet Suspension System (K53213D) is a complete front and rear suspension upgrade for the 2022-2026 Toyota Tundra, delivering 1.25-3.25" of front lift over stock on most i-Force gasoline-powered sub-models and supporting fitment of up to 35" tires. The system builds on the Stage 2 3.0 platform by adding triple-rate rear coil springs and a billet adjustable rear track bar alongside 3.0 Series CDXS coilovers, billet upper control arms, billet rear upper and lower links, a sway bar drop kit, and 3.0 Series CDXS rear shocks.

3.0 Series CDXS Damping, Front and Rear

The 3.0 Series remote reservoir front coilovers and rear shocks are both equipped with ICON's Compression Damping Dual Speed (CDXS) valving. CDXS independently controls high-speed and low-speed compression force, with 10 detented settings on each adjustment knob, so handling response and overall aggressiveness can be tuned separately to match terrain and load. The 3.0 Series shock body provides 50% more piston surface area in the ride zone and 100% more in the Bump Zone compared to 2.5 Series shocks, and the remote reservoirs add internal oil volume and external surface area for greater heat dissipation and resistance to shock fade under sustained hard use.

Billet Geometry Correction, Front and Rear

The included billet aluminum upper control arms correct front-end geometry for the lifted ride height, add on-vehicle camber and caster adjustability, and replace the OE ball joint with ICON's serviceable, rebuildable Delta Joint PRO (U.S. Pat. 10,731,700), which provides 90 degrees of total articulation and eliminates bind through full bump and droop travel. At the rear, CNC-machined 6061 aluminum upper and lower links with PTFE-lined FK rod ends and multi-durometer bushings allow on-vehicle pinion angle adjustment and increased articulation without periodic greasing. The billet adjustable rear track bar, also CNC-machined from solid 6061 aluminum and anodized, centers the rear axle after the lift and can be fine-adjusted on-vehicle without disassembly.

Triple-Rate Rear Springs and Sway Bar Drop

The triple-rate rear coil springs use a softer droop and ride rate combined with a firmer overload rate, delivering on-road comfort alongside bottoming resistance off-road. On a Tundra without TRD Off-Road or TRD Sport suspension packages, the springs net 0.5" of rear lift; on a Tundra equipped with TRD Off-Road, TRD Sport, or TRD Pro suspension, they net 0" of lift, maintaining stock rear ride height. The included sway bar drop brackets reduce bind in the OE sway bar links across the full range of suspension travel.

Who This Is For and Isn't

This system suits 2022-2026 Toyota Tundra owners running 4WD without factory Load-Leveling Rear Height Control Air Suspension or Adaptive Variable Suspension who want 1.25-3.25" of front lift (varies by sub-model and engine), improved wheel travel, and independently tunable compression damping for mixed on- and off-road use. It accommodates up to 35" tires with the included billet UCAs and supports on-vehicle geometry adjustment front and rear.

This system is not compatible with Tundras equipped with Load-Leveling Rear Height Control Air Suspension or Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS). Tundras with automatic leveling headlights require an additional Air Ride/Auto Headlight Bracket Kit (ICON part 55153). 4WD models without the TRD Off-Road package require either the ICON Differential Drop (part 55156) or Toyota TRD axles to avoid potential front axle damage; this requirement does not apply to TRD Pro models. If a TRD aluminum skid plate is installed, ICON part 55164 is also required. ADAS recalibration is required after installation. Tundra owners wanting taller rear lift than the included springs provide should consider ICON part K53213DS instead.

Common Questions

What front lift height will this system give my Tundra?

Front lift height varies by sub-model and engine. Most Tundras with the i-Force gasoline engine achieve 1.25-3.25" of front lift over stock. The i-Force MAX hybrid achieves 0.75-2.75". An SR5 with the TRD Sport Suspension package achieves 2.25-4.25". TRD Pro models achieve 0-1.25". All figures assume a stock-equipped vehicle; added accessories that increase vehicle weight will alter the lift range.

What rear lift do the included coil springs provide?

The triple-rate rear coil springs in this Stage 3 system net 0.5" of rear lift on a Tundra without TRD Off-Road or TRD Sport suspension packages. On a Tundra equipped with TRD Off-Road, TRD Sport, or TRD Pro suspension, the springs net 0" of lift, keeping the rear at stock ride height. Tundra owners who want additional rear lift should look at ICON part K53213DS.

Is this system compatible with my Tundra's factory air suspension or AVS?

The Stage 3 3.0 CDXS Billet system is not compatible with Tundras equipped with Load-Leveling Rear Height Control Air Suspension or Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS). Tundras with automatic leveling headlights are compatible but require an additional Air Ride/Auto Headlight Bracket Kit (ICON part 55153), sold separately.

What does CDXS mean and how is it adjusted?

CDXS stands for Compression Damping Dual Speed, ICON's valving system that independently controls high-speed and low-speed compression force. Both the front coilovers and rear shocks in this Stage 3 system include CDXS, with 10 detented settings on each of the low-speed and high-speed adjustment knobs, allowing separate tuning of handling response and overall aggressiveness without removing the shocks.

Does this system require a differential drop or special axles on 4WD models?

On 4WD Tundras without the TRD Off-Road package, ICON recommends using either the ICON Differential Drop (part 55156) or Toyota TRD axles (driver part 434200C020, passenger part 434100C020) to avoid potential front axle damage. This requirement does not apply to TRD Pro models. The differential drop kit is sold separately.
