The ICON Stage 2 Tubular Suspension System is a complete front-and-rear upgrade for 2019–2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 trucks equipped with coil front springs and a gasoline or diesel V6/V8 engine, delivering 1.5–3.5 inches of front lift on most gasoline submodels (lift range varies by submodel and engine; see application notes below). The kit ships as three assemblies: a 2.5 Series V.S. internal-reservoir front coilover kit, a tubular upper control arm kit with ICON's patented Delta Joint, and a pair of 2.0 Aluminum Series V.S. internal-reservoir rear shocks.

Shipping: ICON parts ship direct from ICON Vehicle Dynamics, mostly by UPS Ground. Lead times vary by part and some items are built to order, so please allow extra time. We email tracking as soon as your order ships.

More Front Wheel Travel, Front to Rear Balance

The 2.5 Series coilovers deliver up to 35% more front wheel travel than the factory suspension, meaning the front axle can follow terrain more closely before the chassis reacts, reducing the jarring that comes from abrupt compression on washboard roads or rocky trails. The 2.0 Aluminum Series rear shocks use vehicle-specific valving tuned to match the front coilovers, so the truck's damping behavior stays consistent from nose to tail rather than feeling mismatched after a front-only upgrade.

Height Adjustability and Larger Tire Clearance

The front coilovers are height-adjustable from 1 to 3 inches (measured on a stock-equipped vehicle), giving owners the ability to dial in ride height without swapping springs. That adjustability opens the door to larger wheel and tire combinations: OEM wheels and tires fit confirmed, and the system is compatible with up to 35×12.50-inch tires on the Silverado and 34×12.00-inch tires on the Sierra, though minor fender trimming may be required at those sizes.

Delta Joint Upper Control Arms: Durability Without the Uniball Trade-Off

The tubular upper control arms use ICON's patented Delta Joint (U.S. Pat. 10,731,700), a high-angle ball joint designed to match the articulation range of a uniball while adding a zinc-plated housing and a grease seal that block moisture and debris from the joint internals. The metal-on-metal, greaseable construction is intended for daily-driven use where a conventional uniball's exposure to the elements would accelerate wear. FK Rod End bearings at the arm's pivot points add longevity and limit deflection under load.

Features

  • 2.5 Series VS IR front coilovers: internal reservoir, corrosion-resistant CAD-plated body, 7/8-inch shaft, 7.5-inch aluminum reservoir
  • Tubular upper control arms with Delta Joint: patented high-angle ball joint with zinc-plated housing and grease seal, direct bolt-in design
  • 2.0 Aluminum Series VS IR rear shocks (×2): anodized body, 5/8-inch shaft, vehicle-specific valving, 7.5-inch aluminum reservoir
  • Height adjustable 1–3 inches: coilover adjustment measured on a stock-equipped vehicle
  • Fully rebuildable and revalvable: shocks can be serviced without replacing the entire unit
  • ICON fabricated components: covered by a lifetime guarantee against breakage or defect

Application notes

  • These systems require aftermarket upper control arms. The tubular UCAs are included in this kit.
  • Slight modifications to factory shock mounts may be required.
  • ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) recalibration is required after installation.
  • Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500 models equipped with Adaptive Ride Control also require ICON part numbers 71021 and 71022 (sold separately).
  • Only fits models equipped with coil front springs.
  • Not compatible with 4-cylinder engine models.
  • Not compatible with Silverado 1500 ZR2 or Sierra 1500 AT4X submodels.
  • Included rear shocks are compatible with 0–2 inches of rear lift on most models. Rear shocks are not recommended with any additional rear lift on Trail Boss and Sierra 1500 AT4.
  • For a level stance on Trail Boss and AT4 models, replacing OE rear blocks with 1-inch rear blocks is recommended (see ICON part numbers 51001 and 52050, sold separately).
  • Minor trimming may be required for recommended aftermarket tire sizes.
  • Coilover heights indicated are for a stock-equipped vehicle.

Who This Is For and Isn't

This system suits 2019–2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 owners running a gasoline or diesel V6/V8 engine with coil front springs who want a measurable increase in front wheel travel, the ability to run larger tires, and a tuned front-to-rear damping balance for mixed on-road and off-road use. It fits both 2WD and 4WD configurations.

This system does not fit Silverado 1500 ZR2 or Sierra 1500 AT4X submodels, any 2019–2026 Silverado 1500 or Sierra 1500 equipped with a 4-cylinder engine, or any model with leaf-spring front suspension. Models with Adaptive Ride Control require two additional ICON components (71021 and 71022) not included in this kit. The included rear shocks are not designed for rear lift beyond 2 inches on most models, and Trail Boss and AT4 owners should not add any rear lift beyond the included shocks without consulting ICON's fitment guidance.

Common Questions

Does this kit include everything needed for front and rear installation?

The ICON Stage 2 Tubular kit includes the 2.5 Series VS IR front coilover assembly, the tubular upper control arms with Delta Joint, and a pair of 2.0 Aluminum Series VS IR rear shocks. Models equipped with Adaptive Ride Control also require ICON part numbers 71021 and 71022, which are sold separately. Slight modifications to factory shock mounts may be required during installation.

What lift height will this system produce on a Trail Boss or AT4?

On Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Trail Boss and GMC Sierra 1500 AT4 submodels, the ICON Stage 2 Tubular system produces 0–1.5 inches of front lift over stock with a gasoline engine, or 0–1 inch with a diesel engine. Most other Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500 gasoline submodels achieve 1.5–3.5 inches; diesel submodels achieve 1–3 inches.

Will OEM wheels and tires still fit after installation?

The ICON Stage 2 Tubular system is confirmed compatible with OEM wheels and tires. For owners moving to larger aftermarket tires, up to 35×12.50-inch tires fit the Silverado and up to 34×12.00-inch tires fit the Sierra, though minor fender trimming may be required at those sizes.

Do the shocks require any recalibration or software update after installation?

Yes. Installing the ICON Stage 2 Tubular system on a 2019–2026 Silverado 1500 or Sierra 1500 requires recalibration of the vehicle's Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) after the install is complete. This applies to all compatible submodels and should be performed by a qualified shop with the appropriate scan tool.

Can the front coilovers be rebuilt or revalved later?

The 2.5 Series coilovers included in the ICON Stage 2 Tubular system are fully rebuildable and revalvable, meaning the internals can be serviced or tuned without replacing the entire shock body. The FK Rod End bearings in the upper control arms are also designed for extended service life with minimal deflection under load.
