The ICON Intelligent Control (IIC) Install Kit is an active suspension controller designed for 2019–2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 trucks already equipped with compatible ICON CDEV (Compression Damping Electronic Valve) shocks. The IIC unit reads onboard G-force and gyroscope data more than 1,000 times per second and delivers damping adjustments to the CDEV shocks in under 40 milliseconds, allowing the suspension to respond to terrain changes faster than a driver can react. The kit includes application-specific mounting brackets, hardware, and wire harnesses sized for the 1500-series cab and frame.

Shipping: ICON parts ship direct from ICON Vehicle Dynamics, mostly by UPS Ground. Lead times vary by part and some items are built to order, so please allow extra time. We email tracking as soon as your order ships.

Real-Time Terrain Response

The IIC processes G-force and gyroscope inputs through custom algorithms and user-defined settings to predict terrain and wheel position before the chassis reacts. Because adjustments reach the CDEV shocks in under 40 milliseconds, the damping change happens during the event rather than after it. For a truck driven on washboard forest roads, rocky two-tracks, or high-speed desert terrain, that response speed translates to a more controlled ride and reduced chassis movement without the driver having to manually switch settings mid-trail.

In-Cab Control Without Stopping

The IIC connects to the ICON IIC Mobile App over Bluetooth, letting the driver adjust baseline shock firmness, G-Boost (vertical sensitivity), and Corner Boost (lateral sensitivity) from an iOS device without leaving the cab. Three preconfigured Drive Modes (Normal, Desert, and Haul) cover the most common use cases, and the app supports an unlimited number of custom presets for drivers who dial in settings for specific routes or loads. Switching modes between a loaded tow run and an unloaded trail day takes a few taps rather than a stop and a wrench.

Trip Data Logging

Beyond damping control, the IIC functions as a data logger, recording time, speed, distance, and G-forces over the course of a trip. Drivers who want to review suspension behavior on a specific section of trail or compare runs across different terrain types can pull that data through the app. The logging capability adds a diagnostic layer that is not available with passive or manually adjusted shocks.

Features

  • Sub-40ms damping response: adjustments reach CDEV shocks in under 40 milliseconds after sensor input
  • 1,000+ Hz sampling rate: onboard G-force sensor and gyroscope sampled over 1,000 times per second
  • Bluetooth app control: iOS app adjusts firmness, G-Boost, and Corner Boost without exiting the vehicle
  • Preconfigured Drive Modes: Normal, Desert, and Haul modes included; unlimited custom presets supported
  • Integrated data logger: records time, speed, distance, and G-forces for post-trip review
  • Application-specific hardware: kit includes mounting brackets, wire harnesses, and fasteners for 2019–2026 Silverado 1500 / Sierra 1500

Who This Is For and Isn't

The IIC Install Kit suits 2019–2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 owners who have already installed, or are installing, compatible ICON CDEV front and rear shocks and want active, app-adjustable damping control for mixed-terrain driving: trail runs, towing, and high-speed off-road use where terrain conditions change quickly.

This kit does not include CDEV shocks; compatible ICON CDEV front and rear shocks must be purchased and installed separately before the IIC can function. Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500 submodels equipped from the factory with Adaptive Ride Control also require additional ICON parts 71021 and 71022, sold separately. The IIC app requires an iOS device; Android devices are not supported. This kit does not fit Silverado 2500/3500 HD or Sierra 2500/3500 HD.

Common Questions

Do the CDEV shocks come with this kit?

The ICON IIC Install Kit (SKU 73001) does not include CDEV shocks. Compatible ICON CDEV front and rear shocks must be purchased and installed separately. The IIC controller requires those shocks to be present before it can adjust damping.

Does the app work on Android phones?

The ICON IIC Mobile App requires an iOS device. Android devices are not supported. An iOS device is required to access Drive Modes, create custom presets, adjust sensitivity settings, and use the data-logging features of the IIC system.

My Silverado 1500 has factory Adaptive Ride Control. Does that change what I need?

Yes. Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500 trucks equipped from the factory with Adaptive Ride Control require ICON parts 71021 and 71022 in addition to the IIC Install Kit (SKU 73001). Those parts are sold separately and must be included in the installation for the system to function correctly on Adaptive Ride Control-equipped trucks.

What does the IIC data logger record?

The ICON IIC system logs time, speed, distance, and G-forces during a trip. That data is accessible through the IIC Mobile App on an iOS device after the run, allowing drivers to review suspension behavior and G-force events from specific sections of a route.

Can I create my own shock settings, or am I limited to the preset Drive Modes?

The IIC app includes three preconfigured Drive Modes (Normal, Desert, and Haul) and supports an unlimited number of custom presets. Drivers can adjust baseline firmness, G-Boost (vertical sensitivity), and Corner Boost (lateral sensitivity) independently and save those combinations as named presets for different routes or load conditions.
