The ICON Centerline Steering Stabilizer is an adjustable, through-shaft steering damper engineered for 2018–2023 Jeep Wrangler JL and 2020–2023 Jeep Gladiator JT owners running lifted suspensions. Its 9-click adjustable Drive Zone and high-clearance, rotatable-reservoir body are designed to fit all ICON lift systems and most other aftermarket lifts on the market.

Symmetrical Feel Without Push or Pull
Traditional steering stabilizers can introduce a pull or push sensation because they damp asymmetrically. The Centerline's through-shaft design applies damping force equally in both directions, so the steering wheel returns to center without tugging to one side. That symmetry makes a meaningful difference on long highway stretches and during slow-speed trail maneuvering where steering feedback matters most.
A Drive Zone You Can Tune on the Trail
The adjustable Drive Zone covers 110 degrees of steering wheel input to the left or right of center and offers 9 discrete clicks of damping adjustment. Tightening the Drive Zone gives the steering a more planted, confidence-inspiring feel at highway speeds; loosening it lets the wheel move more freely for technical off-road work. Because the adjustment is external, a driver can dial in feel without tools or disassembly.
Built to the Same Standard as ICON 2.0 Aluminum Series Shocks
The Centerline Stabilizer shares the construction of ICON's proven 2.0 Aluminum Series shock line. The 6063 clear-anodized aluminum body resists corrosion and dissipates heat efficiently. The 5/8" chrome-plated hardened steel shaft handles the lateral loads a steering stabilizer sees in daily and off-road use. Premium 5WT shock oil maintains consistent damping across a wide operating temperature range, and a high-temperature long-wear seal pack keeps the unit serviceable in harsh conditions. CNC-machined billet aluminum clamp and rod-end components, fitted with FK Rod End bearings, complete the assembly.

Who This Is For and Isn't
The ICON Centerline Steering Stabilizer suits 2018–2023 Jeep Wrangler JL and 2020–2023 Jeep Gladiator JT owners running any lift height (including all ICON lift systems and most other aftermarket lifts) who want tunable steering damping without the directional bias of a traditional stabilizer.
This stabilizer is not compatible with the Jeep Wrangler JL 4xe or the Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 392. Installation requires a minimum 1" front bump stop spacer (sold separately; ICON PN 22044 is recommended) unless the existing suspension system already includes 1" or taller front bump stop spacers. Vehicles running a heavy-duty 1-5/8" aftermarket tie rod require the ICON oversized clamp kit (PN 614525, sold separately).
Common Questions
Does this stabilizer work with non-ICON lift systems?
The ICON Centerline Steering Stabilizer's high-clearance body and rotatable reservoir were developed to fit all ICON lift systems and most other aftermarket lifts on the market. Buyers running non-ICON lifts should confirm their specific setup does not fall under the noted incompatibilities before ordering.
Is the Wrangler JL 4xe or Rubicon 392 compatible?
No. The ICON Centerline Steering Stabilizer (SKU 22043) is not compatible with the Jeep Wrangler JL 4xe or the Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 392. ICON's Help Center has additional detail on those exclusions.
What additional parts are required for installation?
Installation of the ICON Centerline Steering Stabilizer requires a minimum 1" front bump stop spacer unless the existing suspension already includes spacers of that height or taller; ICON PN 22044 is the recommended option. Vehicles with a heavy-duty 1-5/8" aftermarket tie rod also need the ICON oversized clamp kit (PN 614525). Both are sold separately.
How is the Drive Zone damping adjusted?
The ICON Centerline Steering Stabilizer's Drive Zone offers 9 discrete clicks of damping adjustment that affect 110 degrees of steering wheel input in either direction from center. A higher click setting tightens the feel in the center of the steering range; a lower setting loosens it for more relaxed trail steering.
Is this stabilizer fully serviceable?
Yes. The ICON Centerline Steering Stabilizer is fully serviceable and shares the same construction as ICON's 2.0 Aluminum Series shocks, including a high-temperature long-wear seal pack and premium 5WT shock oil designed to hold up under sustained on- and off-road use.
