InnerLock Bead Retention Without the Beadlock Trade-Offs

The Recon Pro's patented InnerLock system (U.S. Patent No. 11,090,976) uses hardened alloy retention pins with SAE J1926 O-ring seals to hold the bead without those compromises. The pins are removable, reusable, and replaceable, so a tire change does not require a shop with beadlock-specific equipment.

ICON subjected the Recon Pro to independent lab testing under the FMVSS No. 139 Tire Bead Unseat Resistance Test, modified to 10 psi. Across multiple test runs the wheel exceeded the mechanical limits of the test machine (over 7,600 lb of load) without de-beading the tire.

Every Recon Pro ships with a high-grade aluminum HALO Wheel Armor ring that protects the outer face from trail rash. The ring is segmented into 90° sections, so a single damaged quarter can be swapped without replacing the full ring.
