The ICON Alloys Hammer PRO is a 17×8.5 aluminum alloy wheel with a 6×5.5 bolt pattern, 0 mm offset, and 4.75" backspace, built for off-road use while remaining fully DOT compliant. Its patented InnerLock bead-retention system holds the tire bead at low pressures without the legal and maintenance drawbacks of a traditional beadlock wheel. The Silver Machined finish ships at 45 lb per wheel.
Shipping: ICON parts ship direct from ICON Vehicle Dynamics, mostly by UPS Ground. Lead times vary by part and some items are built to order, so please allow extra time. We email tracking as soon as your order ships.
Bead Retention Without the Beadlock Compromise
Traditional beadlock wheels clamp the tire bead mechanically, but they require specialty tools, frequent re-torquing, add rotational mass, and are not legal for on-road use. The Hammer PRO's InnerLock system uses hardened alloy pins, thermochemically treated for corrosion resistance and sealed with SAE J1926 O-rings, to retain the bead at low pressures without any of those trade-offs. The pins are removable, reusable, and replaceable, so the system can be serviced with standard shop tools rather than dedicated beadlock hardware.
ICON subjected InnerLock to thousands of miles of real-world testing before sending wheels to an independent lab for FMVSS No.139 Tire Bead Unseat Resistance testing at 10 psi. In multiple test runs the system exceeded the mechanical limits of the testing machine (over 7,600 lb of load) without de-beading the tire.
HALO Wheel Armor Included
Every Hammer PRO ships with HALO Wheel Armor: a high-grade aluminum ring that protects the outer face from trail rash. The ring is segmented into 90° sections, so a single damaged quarter can be replaced without swapping the entire ring. The segments are also available in different finishes, allowing the wheel's appearance to be changed without replacing the wheel itself.
Engineered Dimensions for Suspension Clearance
The Hammer PRO's offset and backspace dimensions are developed to reduce scrub radius and maximize caliper clearance, keeping suspension travel and steering geometry unaffected by the wheel swap. The wheel carries a 3,650 lb load rating and is compatible with a wide variety of tires without shims or special mounting tools.

Who This Is For and Isn't
The Hammer PRO suits truck, Jeep, and SUV owners who want the low-pressure traction benefits of a beadlock-style wheel without sacrificing road legality or adding beadlock maintenance to their routine. The 6×5.5 bolt pattern and 0 mm offset target a specific fitment range; confirm compatibility with your vehicle before ordering.
This wheel is not a traditional beadlock and does not use a clamping ring. Application Note #211 states it may not be compatible with all TPMS sensors that use rigid valve stems; flexible rubber valve stems are recommended for InnerLock pin clearance. Bolt pattern, offset, and bore compatibility should be verified against your vehicle's specifications before ordering. California residents: this product contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth anomalies, or other reproductive harm (Prop 65).
Common Questions
Is the Hammer PRO legal to drive on public roads?
Yes. Unlike traditional beadlock wheels, the Hammer PRO with InnerLock technology is fully DOT compliant and legal for on-road use. The bead-retention system uses internal alloy pins rather than an external clamping ring, which is the feature that makes conventional beadlocks non-road-legal.
Will this wheel work with my existing TPMS sensors?
The Hammer PRO may not be compatible with all TPMS sensors that use rigid valve stems. ICON's Application Note #211 recommends flexible rubber valve stems to ensure clearance for the InnerLock retention pins during tire mounting. Confirm your sensor type before installation.
What does the HALO Wheel Armor do and is it included?
HALO Wheel Armor is a high-grade aluminum protective ring that shields the Hammer PRO's outer face from trail rash. It is included with the wheel. The ring is divided into 90° segments, so only a damaged section needs to be replaced rather than the entire ring, and segments are available in different finishes for customization.
Can the InnerLock retention pins be replaced if damaged?
Yes. The hardened alloy retention pins in the Hammer PRO's InnerLock system are designed to be removable, reusable, and individually replaceable. Each pin uses a SAE J1926 O-ring seal and is thermochemically treated for corrosion resistance, so the system can be serviced without replacing the entire wheel.
Does this wheel require special tools or shims for tire mounting?
No shims or specialty tools are required to mount tires on the Hammer PRO. ICON recommends professional mounting and balancing of an appropriately sized tire before installing the wheel on the vehicle, but the wheel itself is compatible with a wide variety of tires using standard shop equipment.
