The ICON 2.5 EXP Series front coilover fits 2021–2026 Ford Broncos equipped with the HOSS 2.0 suspension package, delivering 0–2 inches of adjustable front lift over stock while reusing the Bronco's factory coil spring and upper shock mounts. Built on ICON's 2.5-inch aluminum shock platform, it is sold individually; two are required per vehicle. It does not fit the Bronco Raptor.

Shipping: ICON parts ship direct from ICON Vehicle Dynamics, mostly by UPS Ground. Lead times vary by part and some items are built to order, so please allow extra time. We email tracking as soon as your order ships.

Rebuildable 2.5-Inch Aluminum Platform

The EXP coilover body is one-piece impact-extruded aluminum with a hard-anodized finish, giving it strong resistance to abrasion and corrosion without the added weight of a steel body. The larger 2.5-inch diameter increases piston size and shock oil volume compared to the factory steel shocks, which improves heat dissipation during sustained high-speed or rough-terrain use where OE shocks are most prone to fade. The 7/8-inch diameter shaft is induction hardened and chrome plated for durability under repeated flex cycles.

Factory Spring Reuse Cuts Cost Without Cutting Performance

EXP shocks use the Bronco's shaft-up orientation and are machined to bolt directly onto the OE upper shock and spring mounts, so the factory coil spring and coil hardware carry over. The 6061-billet aluminum spring seat is CNC machined to mate with a heavy-duty urethane coil spring seat sized for each Bronco model's OE spring. This approach eliminates the cost of a full coilover spring while still delivering custom-tuned digressive piston valving calibrated specifically for the Bronco with its stock spring, not a generic tune carried over from another platform.

Snap-Ring Height Adjustment and Re-Valvability

A series of snap-ring grooves machined into the shock body allow front ride height to be set anywhere from 0 to 2 inches above stock without additional hardware. For builders who want a different damping character later, the EXP is fully re-valvable and rebuildable by any qualified shock technician, with parts available from ICON. No cutting or welding is required for installation.

Who This Is For and Isn't

These coilovers suit 2021–2026 Ford Bronco owners on HOSS 2.0-equipped trims who want 0–2 inches of front lift, improved damping over the factory shocks, and a bolt-on install that retains the OE coil spring. HOSS 2.0 is most easily identified by yellow OE shock bodies.

These coilovers do not fit the Ford Bronco Raptor. They are not compatible with Broncos that lack the HOSS 2.0 suspension package. Lifts above 1.5 inches over stock may require aftermarket front upper control arms to maintain proper front-end alignment; ICON upper control arms with Delta Joint Pro (part numbers 48400DJ or 48500DJ) are recommended due to the increased wheel travel these coilovers provide, and other aftermarket UCAs may not be compatible. Running 35-inch tires on non-Sasquatch Broncos requires high-clearance crash bars (ICON part #42000). Running 37-inch tires requires bump stop spacer kit (ICON part #611082) and may also require fender trimming and modifications. Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) require recalibration after installation.

Common Questions

Does this coilover fit every 2021–2026 Ford Bronco trim?

The ICON 2.5 EXP Series front coilover fits only Broncos equipped with the HOSS 2.0 suspension package. HOSS 2.0 is standard on Badlands, Wildtrak, First Edition and Everglades trims, and available on Base, Big Bend, Outer Banks and Black Diamond trims with the Sasquatch package. It does not fit the Bronco Raptor.

How many coilovers do I need to order for my Bronco?

The ICON 2.5 EXP Series front coilover is sold individually. A quantity of two is required to complete the front suspension on one vehicle.

Does this coilover come with a new coil spring?

The EXP Series coilover is designed to reuse the Bronco's factory coil spring and OE upper shock and spring mounts. No replacement spring is included or required; the shock body and spring seat are machined specifically to work with the OE spring.

Do I need new upper control arms with this coilover?

At lifts above 1.5 inches over stock, aftermarket front upper control arms are recommended to maintain proper front-end alignment. ICON upper control arms with Delta Joint Pro (part numbers 48400DJ or 48500DJ) are specifically recommended; other aftermarket UCAs may not be compatible with the increased wheel travel these coilovers provide.

Does installing this coilover affect the Bronco's driver assistance systems?

Yes. Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) require recalibration after installation of the ICON 2.5 EXP Series front coilover. This recalibration should be performed by a qualified technician.
