The DV8 Offroad MTO Series Universal Full-Size Truck Bed Rack is a 2-piece adjustable steel overland rack built for full-size trucks, with a 750 lb static load guideline and a 10-inch profile designed to keep a rooftop tent at or just below cab roofline height. The rack mounts direct-bolt with no cutting required and works with or without factory bed side rail mounts. Verified fitment covers the 2007–2025 Toyota Tundra, 2009–2025 Ford F-150 and Raptor, 2011–2025 Ford F-250/F-350, 2009–2025 Ram 1500/2500/3500, 2021–2025 Ram 1500 TRX/RHO, and 2014–2023 Chevy/GMC 1500.

Low Profile That Works With a Rooftop Tent

The MTO Series rack stands 10 inches above the top of the bed sides. At that height, a rooftop tent mounted to the rack sits right at or slightly above the cab roofline rather than well above it, which keeps aerodynamic drag and wind noise meaningfully lower on highway drives. For overlanders who run a RTT as their primary shelter, that height difference matters on every long transit day between trailheads.

Gear Mounting Built Into the Rack

The MTO Series rack ships with hardware and mounts for Hi-Lift style jacks, which can be positioned on either the driver or passenger side wall. Two mounting plates compatible with standard RotopaX mounts are also included, allowing two 1-gallon RotopaX containers or two 3-gallon RotopaX containers (with 3-gallon RotopaX extensions, sold separately) to be mounted against the inside bed walls. Eight D-rings on the rack interior serve as dedicated tie-down points for cargo. The accessory slots along each wall also accept a compatible fire extinguisher mount (sold separately).

The 2-piece adjustable design lets the rack span short-bed and long-bed configurations without requiring a separate SKU for each bed length. Both sections bolt together and to the truck, and the rack works whether or not the truck has factory bed side rail mounts installed.

Integrated Lighting and Wire Management

Hidden LED light pod and light bar mounts run the full length of the rack on each side, giving a range of lighting positions without exposed brackets or aftermarket clamps. Zip-tie tabs are placed along the rack interior specifically for routing wiring cleanly, so light cables and accessory wiring stay organized rather than zip-tied to structural members at random. Lights are not included.

Who This Is For and Isn't

The DV8 Offroad MTO Series bed rack suits full-size truck owners on the verified fitment list who want a single rack that adjusts across bed lengths, carries a rooftop tent at a low profile, and arrives with Hi-Lift jack mounts, RotopaX mounting plates, and D-ring tie-downs already included rather than purchased separately.

The MTO Series rack does not fit mid-size trucks or any vehicle not on the verified fitment list. RotopaX mounts, RotopaX tanks, 3-gallon RotopaX extensions, a compatible fire extinguisher mount, and all lighting are sold separately and are not included with this rack.

Common Questions

Which trucks has this rack been verified to fit?

The DV8 Offroad MTO Series Universal Bed Rack has verified fitment on the 2007–2025 Toyota Tundra, 2009–2025 Ford F-150 and Raptor, 2011–2025 Ford F-250/F-350, 2009–2025 Ram 1500/2500/3500, 2021–2025 Ram 1500 TRX/RHO, and 2014–2023 Chevy and GMC 1500.

What is the load capacity of the MTO Series bed rack?

DV8 Offroad recommends 750 lb as a guideline for static load capacity on the MTO Series bed rack. Because load limits vary by truck model, you should also consult your truck's owner's manual for the load rating specific to your vehicle before loading the rack.

Will a rooftop tent fit on this rack without sticking up above the cab?

The MTO Series bed rack stands 10 inches above the top of the bed sides, a height chosen so that a rooftop tent mounted to the rack sits at or just slightly above the cab roofline. This keeps aerodynamic drag and wind noise lower compared to taller rack designs. Exact tent height relative to the cab will depend on the specific tent model and its folded thickness.

What is included with the rack, and what needs to be purchased separately?

The MTO Series bed rack includes the 2-piece adjustable rack, mounting hardware and mounts for Hi-Lift style jacks, two RotopaX-compatible mounting plates, and eight interior D-rings. RotopaX mounts, RotopaX tanks, 3-gallon RotopaX extensions, a fire extinguisher mount, and all lighting are sold separately and are not included.

Does installation require drilling, and does the rack work without factory bed rail mounts?

The MTO Series bed rack installs as a direct-fit, bolt-on system with an estimated install time of 2.5 hours, though time will vary depending on experience. The rack works with or without factory bed side rail mounts, so trucks that lack them do not need an adapter or modification.

Can I mount lights to the MTO Series rack?

The MTO Series bed rack has hidden LED light pod and light bar mount channels running the full length of the rack on each side. These channels accept a range of light pod and bar configurations. Lights are not included with the rack and must be purchased separately.
