The factory Ford Heavy Duty Modular Steel Bumper ships without a license plate mount. The dealer-supplied solution places the plate above the bumper, directly in front of the grille, where it partially restricts airflow to the engine compartment. The DV8 Offroad bracket moves the plate to the bottom of the bumper, below the adaptive cruise control sensor, keeping the grille fully open and giving the front end a cleaner appearance without blocking any factory sensors.
