Couldn't load pickup availability
The BulletProof Hitches Medium Duty 4" Drop/Rise Hitch fits 2.5" receiver tubes and is rated Class 4 with a 14,000 lb maximum towing capacity and 2,000 lb tongue weight capacity. Four selectable ride heights let the same hitch serve a drop or a rise configuration, and the included dual ball accepts both 2" and 2-5/16" ball sizes. The hitch meets and exceeds SAE-J684 testing requirements.
Four Ride Heights, One Hitch
The Medium Duty hitch offers four adjustable ride heights, covering both drop and rise orientations without swapping hardware. Tow vehicles that sit higher or lower than the trailer can be dialed in to keep the trailer level, reducing tongue-weight transfer and wear on the coupler. Adjusting ride height requires no special tools and does not affect the 14,000 lb towing rating.
Dual Ball, Ready to Work
The hitch ships with a dual ball that accepts both a 2" and a 2-5/16" coupler, along with two corrosion-resistant pins and R-clips to lock the ball in place. Having both ball sizes on a single shank means switching between trailers with different coupler sizes takes seconds rather than requiring a separate ball mount. The corrosion-resistant pins are included so the hitch arrives ready to use.
SAE-J684 Tested
The Medium Duty hitch exceeds SAE-J684 testing requirements, the industry standard for trailer hitch assemblies covering strength, fatigue, and corrosion resistance. A Class 4 rating at 14,000 lb GTW and 2,000 lb tongue weight places this hitch in the range appropriate for heavy half-ton and three-quarter-ton tow setups.

Who This Is For and Isn't
This hitch suits tow vehicles with a 2.5" receiver tube that need a 4" drop or rise to level a trailer, and where a Class 4 rating up to 14,000 lb GTW is required. The included dual ball makes it ready to use with both 2" and 2-5/16" couplers without additional purchases.
This hitch is not compatible with the BulletProof Pintle Attachment. It requires a 2.5" receiver tube and will not fit 1.25" or 2" receivers. Common Questions
What receiver size does this hitch require?
The BulletProof Medium Duty 4" Drop/Rise Hitch requires a 2.5" receiver tube. It will not fit the 1.25" or 2" receivers found on lighter-duty vehicles or smaller Class I–III hitches.
Does this hitch work with the BulletProof Pintle Attachment?
No. The Medium Duty hitch is not compatible with the BulletProof Pintle Attachment. Buyers who need pintle capability should check BulletProof's other hitch lines for pintle-compatible options.
What ball sizes does the included dual ball cover?
The hitch ships with a dual ball that covers both 2" and 2-5/16" coupler sizes. Two corrosion-resistant pins and R-clips are also included to lock the ball securely in the shank.
Can this hitch be configured as a rise instead of a drop?
Yes. The BulletProof Medium Duty hitch offers four selectable ride heights and can be oriented as either a 4" drop or a 4" rise, allowing it to level trailers behind both lifted and lowered tow vehicles.
