BulletProof Hitches Extreme Duty 12-Inch Drop/Rise 2.5-Inch Receiver Hitch

The BulletProof Hitches Extreme Duty 12-Inch Drop/Rise Hitch fits 2.5-inch receiver tubes and is rated for a 36,000 lb maximum towing capacity and 6,000 lb tongue weight, meeting and exceeding SAE-J684 testing requirements. Seven adjustable ride heights let a single hitch serve a wide range of trailer-to-tow-vehicle height combinations, covering both drop and rise configurations up to 12 inches.

Seven Ride Heights, One Hitch

The Extreme Duty hitch offers seven selectable ride heights across its 12-inch drop/rise range, so the same unit can level a trailer whether the tow vehicle sits high on a lift or at stock ride height. Height changes are made by repositioning the dual-ball head, and no special tools are required. That flexibility means one hitch covers configurations that would otherwise require purchasing multiple fixed-drop bars.

Built Around the Connection Points

An additional down bar runs between the channel and the gusset, reinforcing the area that takes the most stress during braking and surge. The included dual-ball head accepts both a 2-inch and a 2-5/16-inch ball, covering the two most common trailer coupler sizes without a separate purchase. Two corrosion-resistant pins and R-clips secure the ball head and are included in the box.

Who This Is For and Isn't

The Extreme Duty 12-Inch Drop/Rise Hitch suits owners of heavy-duty trucks or commercial vehicles equipped with a 2.5-inch receiver who need a high-capacity, adjustable hitch to level a trailer across a wide range of vehicle and trailer heights. The dual-ball head and seven ride-height positions make it practical for operators who tow different trailer types or switch between lifted and stock vehicles.

This hitch requires a 2.5-inch receiver tube and will not fit standard 2-inch receivers. It does not include a weight-distribution head, sway-control hardware, or fifth-wheel or gooseneck adapter; those are separate purchases.
