23ZERO Walkabout 56 Tall Rooftop Tent Annex in Olive

The 23ZERO Walkabout 56 Tall Annex is a ground-level enclosure that zips directly to the base of the Walkabout 56 rooftop tent, adding a fully enclosed living and entry area beneath the tent at a standing height of 78 inches, sized for lifted vehicles and higher rack setups. It is built from 210D Oxford polyester ripstop with a waterproof PU coating and ships with a removable PVC floor.

Sheltered Entry in Any Weather

The Walkabout 56 Tall Annex wraps the ladder in an enclosed vestibule, so getting in and out of the tent stays dry when rain moves in. Wet gear, muddy boots, and damp clothing can stay in the annex rather than coming up into the sleeping space: a practical difference on multi-day trips where the weather does not cooperate.

Usable Space at Ground Level

At 78 inches tall, the annex gives most adults room to stand and move around, making it workable as a changing area, a gear staging zone, or an extra sleeping space for a travel companion. Large vehicle-access openings let occupants reach into the vehicle without stepping outside, which matters when you are parked in rain or want to keep insects out while retrieving items from the cab or bed.

Airflow Without the Bugs

Integrated mesh insect screens allow ventilation through the annex walls while keeping insects out. The 210D Oxford polyester ripstop fabric with PU coating handles rain and wind at the shell, and the removable PVC floor keeps the ground layer dry and easy to clean after a muddy camp.

Specifications

Who This Is For and Isn't

This annex suits Walkabout 56 rooftop tent owners running lifted vehicles or higher roof-rack setups who want a standing-height ground enclosure for shelter, privacy, and dry ladder access in variable weather.

This annex does not fit the Walkabout 62, 72, or 87; those sizes require their own matching annex. The 78-inch Tall height is not recommended for standard-height vehicles or lower rack setups, where the Short (62-inch) version is the correct choice. The annex does not include the Walkabout 56 rooftop tent itself.

Common Questions

Which rooftop tent does this annex fit?

The Walkabout 56 Tall Annex is designed to zip directly to the 23ZERO Walkabout 56 rooftop tent only. Owners of the Walkabout 62, 72, or 87 need the annex sized to match their specific tent model.

Why does height selection matter, and which height is right for my setup?

The annex must match the gap between the tent base and the ground, which varies with vehicle height and rack elevation. The Tall version at 78 inches is intended for lifted vehicles or higher rack setups. Choosing the wrong height can result in poor fitment or excess fabric bunching at the base.

What is included with the annex?

The Walkabout 56 Tall Annex ships with the annex itself and a removable PVC floor. The Walkabout 56 rooftop tent is sold separately.

How does the annex handle rain and insects?

The shell is 210D Oxford polyester ripstop with a waterproof PU coating to resist rain. Integrated mesh insect screens in the annex walls allow airflow while keeping bugs out of the enclosed space.

Can I access my vehicle from inside the annex?

Yes. The Walkabout 56 Tall Annex includes large vehicle-access openings that let occupants reach into the vehicle cab or bed without stepping outside the enclosure.
