The Goal Zero Yeti PRO 8000 is a high-capacity LiFePO4 power station built from two paired units: a Yeti PRO 4000 and a Tank PRO 4000 expansion battery. When connected, the two sync to act as a single battery with a combined 7,988 Wh of capacity. The Yeti PRO 4000 delivers 3,600 W continuous AC output (7,200 W surge) through a pure sine wave inverter, making it capable of running most household appliances. An integrated roll cart with wheels and a handle allows the unit to be moved by one person, though Goal Zero recommends a second person for lifting.
Features
- LiFePO4 cell chemistry: Rated for 4,000+ cycles to 80% of original capacity, with a stated lifespan of over 10 years of daily use.
- Fast AC charging: Charges 0–80% in approximately 2 hours via 1,800 W AC input; 0–100% from the wall in under 3 hours.
- High-power solar input: Accepts up to 3,000 W of solar input, with a full charge possible in under 2 hours at maximum solar.
- Expandable capacity: The Yeti PRO 4000 supports up to four Tank PRO 4000 expansion batteries, for a maximum of approximately 20 kWh.
- UL2743 and FCC Class B certified: Meets portable power station safety standards; battery management system runs over 100 safety checks per second.
- App control: Monitors battery level, power flow, and port status via Bluetooth 4.1 and Wi-Fi (a/g/n) through the Goal Zero companion app.
