The Goal Zero Yeti 500X and Nomad 100 kit pairs a 497Wh Li-ion NMC power station with a 100-watt foldable solar panel, a 12V car charging cable, a 60W wall power supply, and a protection case for the Yeti. The station can recharge from the included Nomad 100 in 6 to 12 hours, from a wall outlet in 10 hours with the included 60W supply, or from a vehicle's 12V port. It produces no noise and no fumes. The Yeti 500X weighs 12.9 lbs; the Nomad 100 panel weighs 10.2 lbs.

- Multiple output ports: two 120V AC outlets (300W continuous, 1200W surge, pure sine wave), a 60W USB-C PD port, a standard USB-C port, two USB-A ports, a 12V car port, and a 6mm output port.
- MPPT charge controller: the Yeti 500X uses maximum power point tracking to optimize solar input efficiency.

Care and use
- The Nomad 100 panel produces power only when exposed to sunlight; it does not store a charge.
- Angle the panel toward the sun and adjust position as the sun moves for best output.
- To chain multiple Nomad 100 panels, a separate 4x 8mm combiner to high power port connector is required (not included).
- Charge the Yeti 500X from a 12V vehicle source only with the included car charging cable. Using a different cable may damage the unit.
- Store the Yeti 500X with a charge and top it off every 3–6 months when not in regular use.
- The Yeti 500X lithium battery exceeds 100Wh and is not permitted on commercial aircraft under FAA regulations.
