The Freespirit Recreation Aspen Lite XL is a clamshell-style hardshell rooftop tent built around a tonneau-style hybrid top and a proprietary Tri-Layer tent body: polycotton fill sandwiched between two layers of 210D ripstop. At 110 lbs it sits well below the weight of most hardshell rooftop tents, while retaining a 750 lb occupant capacity and a full suite of included gear. The shell opens to a 51-degree angle, providing 59 inches of interior headroom and 52.5 by 76 inches of sleeping space for two to three people. Gas struts assist deployment; four quick latches and a static u-bar get the tent open in under a minute.
