The Freespirit Recreation 180 Tailgate Awning is a pole-free, rear-deployment awning built from 600D Oxford Ripstop fabric with a PVC exterior cover. Where side-rail awnings cover the flank of a vehicle, this one mounts off the rear of a hard-shell rooftop tent or rack to shelter the tailgate area directly. It weighs 30 lbs and stows in a 59" x 5.9" x 5.9" profile, adding minimal bulk to an RTT setup. A secondary side-mount configuration suits smaller SUVs and crossovers where a full-length awning would be oversized.

No-pole deployment: Unzip the cover and release three straps to deploy. No ground poles or guy lines are required; tie-downs and stakes are included and recommended in wind.
Dual mounting: Mounts off the rear channels of FSR Evolution and Aspen Pro rooftop tents for tailgate coverage, or side-mounts to a smaller SUV or crossover for lateral coverage.
