The BioLite CampStove 2+ is a biomass-burning camp stove with an integrated thermoelectric generator that converts heat from the fire into usable electricity. An internal fan uses that electricity to drive combustion, reducing smoke and improving burn efficiency. Surplus power is stored in an onboard 3,200 mAh battery and made available through a USB-A output port, so you can charge small devices while cooking. Aluminum legs fold flat for storage. The stove ships as a complete kit including the KettlePot, Portable Grill, CoffeePress, and FlexLight.

Care and use

  • Fill the burn chamber three-quarters full with small dry sticks or wood pellets. Do not overfill, as blocking the air jets reduces combustion efficiency.
  • Light a firestarter inside the chamber using a match or lighter. A BBQ-style lighter is recommended in windy conditions.
  • Some smoke before the fan activates is normal. Once the heat probe reaches operating temperature, the fan will engage and smoke will clear.
  • Do not use heavy cast iron cookware or pots wider than 10 inches, as these create an unstable cooking surface on the stove's footprint.
