sea-to-summit-accessory-straps-with-hook-release
Sea to Summit Accessory Straps with Hook Release

The Sea to Summit Accessory Straps with Hook Release are lightweight polyester webbing straps rated to 100 kg, each fitted with a quick-release anodized aluminum alloy hook buckle for fast, one-handed attachment and removal. Available in two webbing widths (10mm and 20mm) and three lengths (1 m, 1.5 m, and 2 m) to suit tasks from lashing dry bags to strapping gear onto a roof rack or touring bike.

Fast Attachment Where It Counts

The anodized aircraft-grade aluminum alloy hook buckle lets you clip a strap onto a loaded rack, pack loop, or deck fitting without threading webbing through a traditional buckle. That matters when you are adding a last item to a packed load, securing a dry bag to a kayak deck in moving water, or pulling gear off a roof rack in the dark. The hook releases with a single motion, so unloading is as quick as loading.

100 kg Load Rating in a Minimal Package

Each strap holds up to 100 kg despite weighing as little as 18 g (10mm x 1.0 m). The 100% polyester webbing resists stretching under load, keeping gear snug rather than shifting. The straps are light enough that carrying two or three spares adds negligible weight to a pack or kit bag, a practical margin when one strap is already in use and a second attachment point comes up unexpectedly.

Color-Coded Lengths for Quick Identification

The hook color identifies the strap length at a glance: gold for 1 m, blue for 1.5 m, and red for 2 m. Reaching into a stuff sack or gear bin and pulling the right length without unrolling each strap saves time at camp or on the trail. The 20mm width is the correct choice for use with soft racks and pack racks, where the wider webbing distributes load across the rack surface more effectively.

Features

Quick-release hook buckle: anodized aircraft-grade aluminum alloy, one-handed clip and release

100 kg load rating: rated capacity across all width and length variants

100% polyester webbing: two widths (10mm and 20mm), three lengths (1 m, 1.5 m, 2 m)

Color-coded hooks: gold (1 m), blue (1.5 m), red (2 m) for at-a-glance identification

Dark grey strap color across all variants

Specifications

Variant

Weight

Dimensions

Webbing Material

Buckle Material

Load Rating

10mm x 1.0 m

18 g (0.6 oz)

100 × 1 × 0.5 cm

100% Polyester

Anodized Aluminum Alloy

100 kg

20mm x 1.0 m

34 g (1.2 oz)

100 × 2 × 0.5 cm

100% Polyester

Anodized Aluminum Alloy

100 kg

10mm x 1.5 m

21 g (0.7 oz)

150 × 1 × 0.5 cm

100% Polyester

Anodized Aluminum Alloy

100 kg

20mm x 1.5 m

45 g (1.6 oz)

150 × 2 × 0.5 cm

100% Polyester

Anodized Aluminum Alloy

100 kg

10mm x 2.0 m

27 g (1.0 oz)

200 × 1 × 0.5 cm

100% Polyester

Anodized Aluminum Alloy

100 kg

Who This Is For and Isn't

These straps suit backpackers, cyclists, kayakers, overlanders, and car campers who need a lightweight, fast-attaching strap for securing dry bags, lashing gear to a roof rack, attaching items to a pack, or bundling loads on a touring bike or roller bag.
